<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="1" > preface</h1>
On June 25, 1959, Chairman Mao, accompanied by Luo Ruiqing, minister of public security, returned to Shaoshan to visit the grave. The next day, Chairman Mao came to his parents' graves, laid wreaths for them, and bowed three times in silence to their tombstones.
When Chairman Mao was about to leave, the comrades of the Public Security Department reported to Chairman Mao that the Kuomintang had secretly dug up the tomb of Mao's ancestors and the result of the sentence. Chairman Mao's appraisal: This is a loss of popularity!
Chairman Mao is a great man of a generation, a great leader and leader of ours. Unexpectedly, there were people in this world who dared to dig up chairman Mao's ancestral grave, and they were simply bold. We can't help but wonder in our hearts, who are these bold people? Have they been duly punished?
The occurrence of the incident must start from the beginning.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="4" > Kuomintang reactionaries secretly digging the grave of Chairman Mao's ancestors</h1>
In 1928, Chairman Mao led the troops and the troops led by Peng Dehuai, Chen Yi and others successfully met the division at Jinggangshan. On the way, the two teams encountered many encirclements and interceptions by the Kuomintang troops, and the Kuomintang troops repeatedly suffered fierce defeats. This made He Jian, the commander-in-chief of the Fourth Route Army of the Kuomintang Army, feel annoyed.

What made him even more angry was that the Red Army also occupied his stronghold of Changsha in one fell swoop. When Chiang Kai-shek learned of this, he was greatly annoyed and scolded He Jian. He Jian felt very depressed, and his heart was holding a fire in his stomach, and he wanted to find a place to vent. To this end, he looked around for ways to deal with the Red Army.
At this time, his brother Wu Kainan came to give advice. This person usually loves superstition and often says some words that are not marginal. The strange thing was that He Jian trusted him very much and trusted him very much in what he said.
Wu Kainan told He Jian that the reason why zhu De and Mao Zedong, the leaders of the Red Army, were able to win battles many times was not because their troops and weapons were very powerful, but because the heavens blessed them and they were favored by the heavens. Wu Kainan then said obscenely: "From the perspective of feng shui, as long as we destroy the feng shui of the Zhu De and Mao Zedong families, then their good luck will come to an end." ”
After listening to it, He Jian believed his words very much, patted his thigh, and exclaimed how he had not thought of this? That's the way it is! Hahahahaha..... He imagined that Wu Kainan really lived up to his name, and I would now send people to Shaoshan to destroy Mao Zedong's ancestral tomb. He could imagine that as long as this thing was done, he could win every battle.
Wu Kainan then said, "This matter should not come over the cover, but secretly go there, after all, destroying other people's ancestral graves is a matter that damages one's own yin morality." ”

After he heard this, he immediately dispatched his men to complete this matter. He sent his own special agent captain Gong Shu to explain the task in detail, only to succeed and not to fail. In order to please He Jian, the special agent captain Gong Shu patted his chest and said, "Please rest assured, the lowly post will definitely complete the task as soon as possible and remove the serious problems for you as soon as possible." ”
In 1932, the secret agents Gong Shu (shù) and Xiong Shiding, with a company of troops, quietly touched Shaoshan and prepared to destroy the Ancestral Tomb of the Mao family.
Since neither of them knew where the Mao family's ancestral grave was, they went up the mountain and found an inferior gentry township chief and asked him about the location of the Mao family's ancestral grave.
This township chief used to like to squeeze the people, and Chairman Mao organized a peasant cooperative in his hometown and confiscated his family's property. Therefore, he held a grudge against Chairman Mao and was very afraid that Chairman Mao's revolution would succeed.
He was very happy to hear that after destroying the Mao family's feng shui, he could destroy Mao Zedong's good luck. So he hurried to find the ancestral grave of the Mao family, and after he asked about it and was abducted by the pit, he finally asked a commoner about the location of the Mao family's ancestral grave, which was near the Tiger Xieping in the Water Drop Cave.
When he came here, he saw that there were many graves, and he couldn't tell which was the ancestral grave of the Mao family. So he found a Feng Shui Mr. feng shui and asked him to explore the specific location. So the township mayor took the feng shui he had found to the front of the dripping cave and looked around to check the location of the Mao family's ancestral tomb.
Since there were many graves near there, they searched in every way and could not distinguish which was the ancestral grave of the Mao family. They could only inquire about the people, and they asked a woman about the location, but they did not expect that the woman was very vigilant and asked them what they were doing with the ancestral graves of others.
The township chief certainly could not directly reveal his intentions, and Mao Zedong had been here and did a lot of things that benefited the poor people. He was willing to help others from an early age, and most of the people here turned to Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong is now engaged in revolution, also for the sake of the poor people.
He coaxed you into saying, "I will not hide from you that we are the Red Army from Jiangxi, and we have come to Shaoshan to pay homage to the ancestral grave of Commissar Mao." The woman looked at them and felt very strange, how could the representative of the Red Army sneak up on Shaoshan, these two people must have something strange.
She took them around in a circle and pointed to a grave, telling them that it was Chairman Mao's grave. Then the woman came to Mao Yousheng's house and informed them of the situation just now. Only then did they understand that these two men must have sinister intentions. Attempts to destroy the ancestral graves of the Mao family.
In order to stop the township chief's behavior, they informed Mao Zedong's cousin and his childhood teacher, Mr. Mao Yuju, about the incident. When Mao Yuju learned of this news, he was shocked and very anxious. They speculated that the two men must have been sent by the Kuomintang reactionaries, for there had been such precedents long before.
At that time, they stepped into the house where Mao Zedong used to live, and although there was no one living in it, they still destroyed it everywhere, stole everything of value, and even set fire to the house.
Nowadays, they don't even want to let go of the ancestral grave of the Mao family, it is simply too deceitful and has lost all conscience. In order to prevent the destruction of Mao Zedong's ancestral tomb, Mao Yuju and others decided to organize the villagers of Shaoshan to protect the ancestral tomb of the Mao family.
In one night, dozens of villagers in Shaoshan gathered on the Tiger Rest Plain in Shaoshan. Together, they filled in the graves of Mao's grandfather, Mao Yichen. In order to hide their eyes, they also laid a layer of soil on the grave and made turf. In this way, no one will see that this place was once the ancestral tomb of the Mao family.
As for the tombstone of the Mao family's grandfather, because it is too huge, it is not safe to hide anywhere. They thought about it and decided to hide the tombstone underground. In this way, no one can find Mao Zedong's ancestral grave.
Sure enough, not long after, also one night, the Kuomintang reactionaries did indeed come to Shaoshan. Gong Shu took the lead and led a company of soldiers to Shaoshan, and they followed the route given by the township chief and walked all the way to the mao family's ancestral tomb. It was pitch black all around, there was no sound at all, and the soldiers were terrified.
But in order to carry out the order, they hardened their scalps and went to the grave they had explored earlier. The tomb was smashed with a hoe and the bones in the grave were excavated. In order to curry favor with He Jian, Gong Shu also used a bottle containing alcohol and some bones to bring to He Jian.
After He Jian saw it, he was really happy, praised Gong Shu, and rewarded him with a huge reward, which made Gong Shu very happy.
What they don't know is that the graves they dug are not actually Mao's ancestral graves at all. At that time, one of the graves that the woman was carrying with her fingers was the ancestral grave of a local gentleman, Mao Junxian. But the secret service soldiers still destroyed the graves of several distant ancestors of the Mao family.
Their actions are heinous and will eventually be criticized and sanctioned by the people. So how did our Party learn of their whereabouts and arrest?
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="31" > to catch the murderer who stole Chairman Mao's ancestral grave</h1>
After this incident occurred, because our Party was actively engaged in revolutionary struggle and the revolutionary situation was grim, the personnel of our Party could not learn this news. It was not until the beginning of 1949, when an old farmer inadvertently said something and was heard, that an investigation and arrest operation was launched about the incident.
That day was the day of the peaceful liberation of Hunan, and the People's Liberation Army was stationed in Changsha, Hunan. The streets and alleys of Changsha are filled with laughter, banners, gongs and drums, all celebrating today's liberation.

On the street, the People's Liberation Army walked neatly with equipment, which surprised the eyes of the people. At this time, an old man standing on the street saw such a scene and sighed: "It is really great!" Chairman Mao is really remarkable, although the Kuomintang secretly dug up the grave of his family's ancestors, but it still did not affect his luck..."
Such a remark was overheard by the public security officer standing next to him. After hearing this, the public security officer was stunned for a while, and when he heard Chairman Mao's name, he knew that the stakes were very high. So after completing his work, he immediately came to the Hunan Provincial Military Control Commission and reported the matter to the staff.
The name of this staff member is Li Shugui, who has many years of public security experience and is very experienced, serving as the leader of the reconnaissance section. When he learned of this, he realized that this matter was very important. He immediately reported the incident to the leaders, who attached great importance to it after hearing this, which was related to Chairman Mao's hometown.
The leader decided to send the experienced Li Shugui to Shaoshan to explore the authenticity of this matter. They came to Shaoshan, and after some twists and turns, they finally learned the truth. The news is indeed true, the Kuomintang reactionaries did send spies to Shaoshan to secretly dig up the ancestral grave of the Mao family.
When this matter was announced, it aroused the indignation of the people. Everyone was talking about the fact that the Kuomintang agents actually led people to dig up the ancestral graves of others, and they also dug the ancestral graves of the great leader Chairman Mao. Since ancient times Chinese people have attached great importance to family inheritance, and ancestral graves are a symbol of the family.

The Kuomintang agents were so hateful that they begged the public security personnel to bring the murderer to justice.
After li shugui and the public security personnel calmed the agitated mood of the masses, they rushed back to Changsha and reported the matter to the leaders at higher levels for instructions. After the superior leader listened to the report, a meeting was held immediately. At the meeting, in response to the deployment of this case, the leaders decided to send Li Shugui to arrest the murderer who stole the grave of Chairman Mao's ancestors.
The leaders took into account that Li Shugui single-handedly participated in the investigation of the entire case, was familiar with the situation of the case, and that he had been engaged in public security work for many years and had a lot of experience. It couldn't be better for him to accomplish this task.
After Li Shugui received the task, he felt a lot of pressure. First, many years have passed since this incident, and very few people know about this matter, and it is very difficult to investigate. Second, the case itself concerns Chairman Mao and carries a heavy responsibility. If the perpetrator of this matter cannot be successfully apprehended, he will bear the primary responsibility.
However, in order to expose the sinister behavior of the Kuomintang agents, Li Shugui decided to do his best to arrest the murderer. The first is He Jian, a Kuomintang officer who ordered the secret digging, who had fled to Taiwan at this time, so there is no need to mention it again. Then there was Wu Kainan, who advised him, who had already died at this time.
Then it is left to personally lead the team to excavate the ancestral grave, Gong Shu, who is still alive, but he still does not know where he is, which requires our public security personnel to investigate. So Li Shugui led his comrades to Shaoshan, where he inquired about Gong Shu from the masses.
Picture | old photo of Shaoshan Mountain
According to the masses, Gong Shu is now in his fifties, his appearance is very vicious, he is an out-and-out murderer who has killed many members of our party.
So where is this Gong Shu now? Just by virtue of a name, it is very difficult to find this person. As a very experienced public security officer, Li Shugui immediately thought of starting with the people around Gong Shu. Gong Shu used to be the captain of the secret service, and the agents who have now been reformed must know him.
So Li Shugui found a list of these reformed secret agents and visited them one by one. With the unremitting efforts of Li Shugui and his comrades, he finally found a person who had once worked as a secret agent in Hunan, Liu Hui. According to Liu Hui, Gong Shu was grumpy since he was a child, and he was appreciated by He Jian because of his fierce heart and fierceness, and he did many evils.
Then Li Shugui asked Liu Hui if he knew where he was now. Liu Hui replied that he did not know where he was now, and there was no contact with him at present. Li Shugui asked Liu Hui again, "What are the physical characteristics of Gong Shu as a person?" ”
Liu Hui replied: "Gong Shu is thin and tall, with a pair of small eyes, but the eyes are very fierce, and the nose is collapsed, and everyone gives him the nickname of collapse nose." ”
After learning of Gong Shu's information, they immediately began to search. But there was still too little information about Gong Shu, and nothing was found. They immediately discussed the next move, and according to the information they had, Gong Shu should not have left Changsha yet, and must be hiding in some corner of Changsha.
It is really not easy to find him in Changsha. Because there was too little information, Li Shugui and his comrades decided to work together to comprehensively check the hukou in Changsha to see if they could get any clues from them. Just as they were walking the streets to investigate, there was a surprise discovery.
An old man told them that he knew this Gong Shu. After learning this news, Li Shugui and his comrades were very happy and hurriedly asked the old man: "Where does he live now?" The old man replied, "I don't know where he lives now, but I saw him near the southern part of the city a few days ago." ”
In order to prevent the old man from recognizing the wrong person, Li Shugui and the old man confirmed the appearance characteristics of the man he saw, and finally confirmed that the man was Gong Shu. So Li Shugui narrowed the search to the south of the city, and they looked for them one by one in the south of the city.
They came to a house in a courtyard, which was divided into a front yard and a back yard. They checked the front yard and found no suspicious people. They came to the backyard door and knocked on the door, and found that there was no one inside. So Li Shugui came to the front yard again to inquire about the news of the family in the backyard.
According to the residents in the backyard, the family lived as a couple. Her husband was a miè smith and his surname was Gong. Speaking of this, Li Shugui began to get excited and hurriedly asked, "Is this person's name Gong Shu?" The resident replied, "I don't know, but the family is very mysterious and basically doesn't talk to the people in the courtyard." ”
Li Shugui then asked, where is this person mysterious? The occupants explained that he was mysterious about a few points, one of which was that he would only come out when he was taking out the basket, and the rest of the time he had hardly come out, and he had been staying in the house, only his wife would sometimes go out to buy vegetables, and he hardly talked to the people in the courtyard and had not seen him much.
The second is that this person behaves very strangely, as if he is doing something outside. As soon as a stranger came to the yard, no matter who it was, he would flip out of the wall in the backyard. He had seen this several times, and he must have done something bad, otherwise how could it be, hiding from others every time, afraid of being discovered.
After hearing this, Li Shugui understood in his heart that this man's eight achievements were the Gong Shu they were looking for. In order not to hit the grass and scare the snake, Li Shugui specially explained to the residents: "Don't tell others about today's events, especially the people in the backyard, you know?" The residents in the front yard quickly agreed.
Since there was no one in that family now, Li Shugui could only go back first and investigate next time. That night, they came to the door of the smith again. The occupants of the front yard hurriedly opened the door and asked strangely, "How did you get here?" Li Shugui told him not to speak, and they rushed to the backyard residents.
Li Shugui came to the door of the backyard residents and knocked on the door, but no one came out to open the door, but there was a noise inside. Li Shugui quickly broke through the door, only to see that the room was in a mess, the window in the room was open, and a woman stood in front of the window, staring blankly.
Li Shugui asked the woman: "We are from the Military Control Commission, what is the name of the head of this household?" What for? The woman replied, "His name is Gong Shu, and he is in the business of a smith." Li Shugui immediately interrogated the woman, where is he now? The woman subconsciously glanced at the window and carefully replied that Gong Shu was not at home now and had gone out to do business.
Li Shugui naturally did not believe the woman's words, and gave his eyes to the comrades, who quietly looked behind the window, and there was a ladder on the wall outside, on which there were indeed traces of climbing. When Li Shugui learned of this, he guessed that Gong Shu had escaped here, and could only leave the room with his comrades first. But they did not go far, but hid nearby, preparing for a surprise attack.
At about eleven o'clock in the evening, Li Shugui and his comrades divided into two roads and surrounded the room, successfully capturing Gong Shu. Li Shugui looked at the man and asked, "Is your name Gong Shu?" Gong Shu replied in fear, "Yes." Li Shugui and his comrades successfully detained Gong Shu to the public security department.
In this way, with the continuous efforts of Li Shugui and other members, the murderer Gong Shu was finally successfully arrested. He hid in his home as a smith, and was caught for his strange behavior.

After the arrest of Gong Shu, the public security personnel immediately interrogated Gong Shu, and at first he vainly tried not to admit his crime, and Li Shugui brought Liu Hui with him, plus the information obtained from the investigation. In the face of the evidence, he had nowhere to argue, and finally admitted to the crime of stealing the grave of the Mao family's ancestors.
According to his account, he also killed the martyr Guo Liang, in fact, after doing these bad things, he was often restless, and he had nightmares every day at night, afraid of being caught.
Skynet is restored, neglect is not leaked, and he will eventually get the punishment he deserves. On April 14, 1950, a public trial meeting was held in Changsha, Hunan Province, and the onlookers were filled with indignation and scolded him. At the convention, Gong Shu was executed on the spot and fell on the stage, ending his life.
In January 1987, with the help of the masses, the Shaoshan government rebuilt Mao Zedong's ancestral tomb, and since then Mao Zedong's ancestral tomb has been protected and no one has ever destroyed it.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="70" > Chairman Mao made an evaluation after learning about it</h1>
Chairman Mao himself learned of this incident on June 25, 1959, when Chairman Mao returned to his hometown of Shaoshan to visit. The day after Chairman Mao returned to his hometown of Shaoshan, he went to visit the joint tomb of his parents. Deeply mourn his parents in front of the tombstone, lay wreaths, and pine branches, and silently bow three times in front of the tomb.
Pictured| Chairman Mao worshipped his parents
After visiting the tomb, before leaving, Li Qiang, director of the Public Security Department who accompanied him, told Chairman Mao about the incident in which The Kuomintang agent Gong Shu secretly dug up the ancestral grave, and this person was successfully arrested and sentenced to death. When Chairman Mao learned of this, he looked into the distance, and after pondering, he said, "This is a loss of popularity!" ”
According to Chairman Mao's bodyguards, Chairman Mao once made an appraisal of this incident, and Chiang Kai-shek's attempt to secretly dig up my family's ancestral grave and try to suppress the development of communism and sabotage the cause of communism by secretly digging up his ancestral grave is simply nonsense! This is an act of losing the hearts and minds of the people.
Oh, yes! Chinese people attach great importance to their family inheritance, and stealing ancestral graves is very immoral in the eyes of Chinese people. What they did made the people extremely disappointed and reviled by the people.
When Chairman Mao was liberated in Zhejiang in 1949, he also specially explained to his comrades: "When occupying Fenghua, Zhejiang, we must not destroy Chiang Kai-shek's residences, ancestral halls, and all other buildings. ”
The Kuomintang people secretly dug up Mao Zedong's ancestral grave and were scolded by the people all over the world. Chairman Mao specifically exhorted not to destroy Chiang Kai-shek's hometown and ancestral hall, which won the admiration and praise of the people. Since ancient times, in The history of China, every historical fact proves that only by winning the hearts of the people can we gain the approval of the people.
This is the eternal truth of history.
