On the morning of October 23, a group of young reporters from Maoming Daily first visited the scenic spot of Long Ancient City in Xinyi City. Xinyi Douzhou Zhenlong Ancient City is a thousand-year-old city with a long history and culture, and many cultural relics and monuments are still preserved to this day.
The young reporter visited the Red Chamber and the Ancient Academy Group, and strolled on the ancient laneway full of historical and cultural heritage, as if having a conversation with the ancients.

Great Fog Ridge Scenic Area
Subsequently, under the leadership of the relevant responsible persons of the Maoming Forestry Bureau and the Xinyi Forestry Bureau, the young reporter visited the Xinyi yunkaishan Wuling Nature Reserve and deeply felt the gratifying changes that have taken place in Xinyi since the creation of the forest city.
The Great Fog Ridge is famous for its perennial clouds. After a winding mountain road, everyone came to the biodiversity science education and publicity corridor of Dawuling, and learned that there were many rare protected animals and plants in Xinyi Dawuling Nature Reserve, including 34 rare plants, 20 rare and endangered plants under national key protection, 5 species of national first-level protected animals, and 11 species of national second-level protected animals.
On the way to the main peak of the Great Fog Ridge - 1703 above sea level. On the 8-meter Datianding Mountain Road, the young reporter felt the beauty of the wonderland between the clouds and mist of the foggy mountains on the car, and couldn't help but exclaim in amazement.
Everyone finally climbed to the top of the main peak of the Fog Ridge, Datian, far away, the layers of mountains are at the foot, the vast forest and sea are in full view, the peaks are looming, as if in a fairyland, looking at the flowers in the fog, the feeling of seeing the small mountains is spontaneous, and the small reporters have exclaimed: "It seems to have arrived at the paradise on earth, it is so beautiful!" ”
Then we came to the Datianding Reservoir, located at an altitude of 1570 meters, the reservoir is surrounded by mountains on all sides, and the lake is crystal clear, like a huge mirror embedded in the green mountains and green forests, placed on the high mountains, clear as a mirror, and also known as "Tianchi".
The lake is surrounded by primary forest, the total area of the forest of the Fog Ridge Forest Farm is 3500 hectares, the forest coverage rate is as high as 98%, and the negative ion content on the mountain is more than 10,000 per cubic centimeter, and the air is very fresh. The trees in the forest are tall, with moss growing on the bark and thick vines intertwined with each other.
On that day, the weather was pleasant, the young reporters strolled through the forest trails, watched the forest wonders, lingering, Xinyi Middle School biology teacher Li Jing explained the animal and plant knowledge of the Great Fog Ridge Nature Reserve for the small reporters, everyone asked them why they could not see the rare protected animals of the Great Fog Ridge, the teacher could not help but be amused by the whimsy of the young reporters, and patiently explained their questions.
