The three words of "early", "fine" and "burden" embody the anti-epidemic spirit of all medical staff of Hunan Provincial People's Hospital. Challenge
In the face of the sudden epidemic, Hunan Provincial People's Hospital scientifically planned and responded early. From January 16, the hospital entered the state of combat readiness for the first time, started various epidemic prevention work, took the Yuelu Mountain Campus as a backup centralized treatment hospital area, transformed and set up isolation wards, and built a comprehensive guarantee. On January 24, the first triage gate for fever pre-examination was placed in front. Some outpatient clinics will open on February 10, and fully resume diagnosis and treatment services on February 24. Nucleic acid testing was carried out among the first hospitals in the province to serve the diagnosis of the epidemic.
At the beginning of the epidemic, during the Spring Festival, the hospital dispatched elite medical staff to support fever diagnosis and transform the isolation ward. Everyone took the initiative to give up their vacation, cancel the Spring Festival itinerary, temporarily leave the inseparable home, and let go of the relatives who could not be put down.
One after another, the "vanguard" and "commando teams" stayed up to their posts without rest. Chen Haiou, director of the Infection Department, accidentally fell and still fell out of the "line of fire" and became a "crutch doctor" in the ward; the head nurse Zhu Baining ate and slept in the duty room, worked until the early morning every day, and did not return home for more than 20 consecutive days; Dr. Liang Fengyi, the elderly third department, wrote a volunteer letter: "I have two sons, life and death are put aside, and resolutely ask for battle." "In the weChat group of the hospital, the message of volunteering for battle picked up the long queue... As of October 12, the hospital has carried out nucleic acid testing 144218 person-times, received 25,410 cases of fever patients, 709 cases of fever patients with epidemiological history, 355 cases of patients admitted for isolation and observation, 36 cases of suspected patients, and 23 cases of confirmed patients, making positive contributions to the province's major strategic achievements in epidemic prevention and control.
Fight
At the same time, 24 experts sent by Hunan Provincial People's Hospital served as experts of the provincial guidance group and rushed to 14 cities and prefectures non-stop, playing a role in the prevention and control of the epidemic in our province, especially the treatment of seriously ill patients.
"Wherever there are seriously ill patients, where there is a need, we will go there!" Li Wenpu, a veteran of the fight against SARS who was over 60 years old, was ordered to rush to the grass-roots treatment points many times; Han Xiaotong, director of the emergency medical department, was stationed in Loudi for more than 2 months and used ECMO technology to pull 2 cases of seriously ill patients back from the ghost gate; Zhou Xu, director of the intensive care medical department, worked in Yueyang for 50 days, often staying at the bedside for a whole day, until Yueyang "cleared zero" before returning to Changsha.
On March 15, in order to prevent overseas imports, the hospital once again sent Liang Lihui, the leader of the 19th batch of sierra Leone medical teams in 2017, and six other people to form a prevention and control team to garrison the Beijing Capital Airport and guard the "first gate" into Hunan Province. The hospital has also sent a number of medical laboratory experts to Beijing, Xinjiang and other places to support nucleic acid testing. When the epidemic spread around the world, You Sheng, the deputy chief physician of obstetrics and gynecology who has assisted Africa since 2019, stuck to Zimbabwe and overcame various difficulties to work in the difficult environment where water and electricity could not be guaranteed. On May 11, Xu Furong, the head nurse of the emergency ICU who supported Huanggang's recent return to Hunan, went to Africa as a member of the China (Hunan) anti-epidemic medical expert team to conduct a month-long international anti-epidemic campaign in Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea, known as the "most beautiful hibiscus flower".
Decisive battle
In times of crisis, leave me alone! This kind of responsibility of the family and the country, the Hunan Provincial People's Hospital, which was established in 1912, has lasted for a hundred years and has never been forgotten.
On January 25, Zhu Huabo, a member of the hospital's party committee, received orders to rush to the aid of Huanggang, Hubei Province. The 53-year-old party member, who suffered from high-altitude hypertension from Aid tibet two years ago, took only 3 hours from receiving orders to taking the high-speed train. This went for 58 days. After that, 4 batches of 41 team members sent by the hospital arrived in Huanggang one after another. Assembled within 24 hours, every time we set off, we did not flinch or hesitate, and all the staff were full of high morale and confidence in victory. In addition to doctors and nurses, the team members also include hospital leaders, heads of medical, nursing and logistics departments, and a number of senior experts in respiratory medicine, cardiovascular medicine, neurology and nephrology, which is one of the hospitals with the largest number of team members, the most complete specialization and the strongest strength.
Opened the Huanggang-Hunan remote consultation in 3 days, established the Hunan Exclusive Intensive Care Medical Department in 3 days, and established the MDT expert team to undertake the treatment tasks of 4 wards, 1 ICU and all seriously ill patients in the 1 district and four counties of Huanggang City. This well-trained and professional team dispatched by Hunan Provincial People's Hospital raced against the virus and competed with the epidemic, accumulatively treated 990 patients, consulted and guided the treatment of more than 50 patients with acute and critical diseases, and became the special forces, sharp knife companies, and commandos at the "tightest" juncture of the Huanggang epidemic, and persisted until the victory moment when the "four types of personnel" in Huanggang were completely cleared.
