In 1947, Liu Guangzhi was born into an ordinary family in Zhaoyuan, Shandong. Talented and intelligent, he has a good academic performance from an early age, and is the kind of child that parents use to educate their own children. After growing up, Liu Guangzhi was admitted to Northwest University with excellent results and studied continuously with a master's degree.
In 1964, Liu Guangzhi, who had not yet graduated, chose to join the army and became a glorious People's Liberation Army Air Force. After graduation, Liu Guangzhi relied on his superb flying skills to successively serve as the flight captain, regimental commander, executive vice mayor, and chief of staff of a certain air force department in the unit. In fact, Liu Guangzhi's first betrayal of state military intelligence was not his intention. And Li Yunpu also took Liu Guangzhi's like-mindedness and often took him in and out of various high-end and luxurious occasions on the grounds that he and Liu Guangzhi were like-minded, and soon Liu Guangzhi spent all the money that was not hot in his hand. Seeing that Liu Guangzhi was still a little unfinished, Li Yunpu knew that he was hooked, so he revealed his true identity to Liu Guangzhi and said that as long as Liu Guangzhi was still willing to disclose information, there would be a generous reward to take.
Li Yunpu is a colonel in Taiwan's Military Intelligence Bureau, who is mainly responsible for directing the activities of Taiwanese spies on the mainland, and secretly collects military intelligence on the mainland under the daily cover of medical companies opened on the mainland.
Although Liu Guangzhi knew Li Yunpu's true identity, he did not report it to his superiors. As the saying goes: "It is easy to go from thrift to luxury, and it is difficult to be frugal from luxury to thrift", Liu Guangzhi has been fascinated by the world of flowers and flowers, and he enjoys the feeling of spending money like dirt, so he chooses to go farther and farther on the road of espionage.
At the beginning, Liu Guangzhi still had a little conscience, and what he betrayed was some marginal intelligence, but when he found that the valuable intelligence was paid less and less, and it was not enough to support his daily squandering, Liu Guangzhi completely abandoned his conscience. In addition, in order to obtain more valuable information, Taiwan's Military Intelligence Bureau first promised high-ranking officials Hou Luli to seduce Liu Guangzhi, and then used Liu Guangzhi's handle of betraying national interests to intimidate him. After several times like this, Liu Guangzhi, who held the psychology of luck, betrayed the national intelligence more and more confidential. Liu Guangzhi even dragged his son, who was an officer in the Air Force Equipment Department, into the water in order to get more benefits. In this way, the two father-son soldiers who fought in the battle were completely reduced to traitors who betrayed state secrets.
However, what Liu Guangzhi never expected was that his identity as a spy who was strictly guarded against death was exposed because of the carelessness of the Taiwan authorities. In 2003, chen Shui-bian, then the leader of the Taiwan authorities, in order to win the support of the Taiwan people and government officials, mentioned the specific deployment of the mainland's Jiangxi Leping missiles in a speech at a large rally held by his supporters, and even clearly stated the location and total number of missile deployments. After this news reached the mainland, the central authorities immediately realized that spies had appeared within our army, otherwise Chen Shui-bian would absolutely not have been able to understand china's missile deployment in such detail.
Subsequently, our security services immediately launched an investigation into this matter. The intelligence qualified to touch China's missiles will certainly not be low in our army's position, and after some investigation, the security departments have set their sights on Liu Guangzhi. First of all, he has the rank of major general, his position is not low, and he is also very highly valued by his superiors, so although Liu Guangzhi is an air force, he also has many opportunities to contact our army's missile intelligence; secondly, Liu Guangzhi's daily consumption is very incompatible with his salary, and he also has a wallet to raise a mistress; finally, the investigation learned that Liu Guangzhi and Li Yunpu, a spy of Taiwan's Military Intelligence Bureau who has long been eyeed by the security department, are very close. After verifying these several clues, China's security departments finally determined that Liu Guangzhi was a traitor who betrayed our army's missile intelligence.
On March 1, 2004, when facing interrogation, Liu Guangzhi confessed to the crimes he committed after becoming a traitor. Therefore, soon after, Liu Guangzhi was injected with drugs and executed under the instructions issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to "deal with it seriously and never to spare it lightly."
It has always been uncommon for spies to appear in China, and in 2008 alone, the "Thunder" special operation of China's security departments cracked more than a hundred Taiwan espionage cases.
