Among the senior generals of the Japanese invasion of China, there were two people who were humiliated by the crotch injury, one was Ishihara Guan'er, who, when he was serving in the Kwantung Army, when he was playing with his own saber, he was stabbed through the military pants by a sharp saber and injured his genitals, causing his urethral opening to tear and causing long-term urine blood, and eventually the bayonet wound evolved into bladder cancer; the other was Sakuma, who was the commander of the 68th Division of the Japanese Army, who was cut off by mortar shells fired by the Chinese army outside Hengyang, and whenever he was asked, These two people themselves are difficult to talk about, military fans are more familiar with Ishihara Guan'er, this article focuses on the military life of Sakuma as a "Japanese eunuch".

Sakuma is a human being
Sakuma (1889-1970), a native of Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, graduated from the 22nd Cavalry Section of the Japanese Army Non-Commissioned Officer School in May 1910, and like Norihide Abe and Takashi Takashi Takamori, it was not easy to enter the ranks of generals without a degree from the Japanese Army University, and it was not easy to enter the ranks of generals, and when he was promoted to the rank of Army Daisaku, it took 24 years, while the graduates of Lu University only needed about 10 years.
Sakuma was promoted to Army Daisa on March 5, 1934, and was transferred to Korea as the commander of the 28th Cavalry Regiment of the 20th Division of the Japanese Army, when the division commander was Lieutenant General Umezaki Yataro, japan has been stationed in Korea since the signing of the Treaty of Maguan, and set up a Korean army headquarters, and there are two divisions stationed in Tun Korea all year round, and the 20th Division is one of them.
"II. Shortly after the outbreak of the 26 Incident, Sakuma was transferred back to Japan as the leader of the army cavalry school teaching team, which was located in a place called Xi Shino in the northwest of Chiba Prefecture, so it was often called the "Xi Shino Army Cavalry School", and the development of cavalry in the Japanese Army also benefited from the improvement of national strength after the Meiji Restoration.
During the Russo-Japanese War, Japan organized two cavalry brigades to go out, the brigade commanders were Prince Miyazaihito and Akiyama Yoshiko, both of whom were also graduates of the French Cavalry School, so the Japanese cavalry was developed after the French cavalry, and Akiyama Yoshiko was also known as the "father of the Japanese cavalry", which was simply a godfather-like existence in the Japanese cavalry.
Japanese cavalry
Since the Meiji decade, Japan began to set up a special cavalry section in the army non-commissioned officer school, specializing in the training of cavalry non-commissioned officers, after Japan launched a full-scale invasion of China, the early landing in China most of the divisions and regiments, most of the cavalry regiments, the same number as the division regiment, directly subordinate to the division headquarters, the later because of the reduction of horses, can only be equipped with a cavalry brigade.
On December 4, 1937, Sakuma was appointed commander of the 23rd Cavalry Regiment, according to Japanese custom, the squadron should be subordinate to the Japanese Twenty-third Division, but the Twenty-third Division was formed in Kumamoto on April 4, 1938, and the division lacked only cavalry formation, but added a search wing, perhaps renamed, and later repeated search information, but also failed to determine which division the 23rd Cavalry Regiment belonged to.
Japanese cavalry
On March 9, 1939, Sakuma returned to Yoshino again as an officer of the Army Cavalry School, but the Japanese "officer" was completely different from the "officer" in the Chinese, which was a position similar to the duties of provost, assisting the principal in teaching academic affairs.
On December 2, 1940, Sakuma was promoted to major general of the army and was transferred to China as the commander of the 4th Cavalry Brigade, which was under the command of the 25th Cavalry Regiment, the 26th Cavalry Regiment and a machine gun regiment, which belonged to the Japanese "Cavalry Group" combat sequence, which was actually a cavalry division regiment, but was only called the "Cavalry Group", formed in Hailar in July 1933, disbanded in Baotou in October 1942, which was also the largest formation of japanese cavalry, Rennuma Domain, Inaba Shiro and others served as cavalry group leaders.
On August 1, 1942, Sakuma was promoted to lieutenant general of the army, and was transferred back to Japan as the commander of Shimonoseki Fortress, Shimonoseki is located in the westernmost part of Honshu Island, is the largest city in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Shimonoseki is surrounded by the sea on three sides, since ancient times it has been famous for sea and land transportation fortresses, the strategic position is very important, but I don't know what the Japanese base camp is considered in the personnel transfer, because as the commander of the fortress, the general from the artillery is more suitable, but let a cavalry general serve as the commander of the fortress, which seems a bit funny. After all, the Taiping War had already broken out in full swing.
On March 25, 1943, Sakuma was again transferred to China, succeeding Nakayama as the commander of the Japanese 68th Division, which was based on the independent mixed 14th Brigade regiment and formed in Jiujiang, Jiangxi on February 2, 1942, which was a C division with the 57th Infantry Brigade and the 58th Infantry Brigade, each with 4 independent infantry brigades, including the 61st Independent Infantry Brigade to the 64th Independent Infantry Brigade under the jurisdiction of the 57th Brigade Regiment. The 58th Brigade and Regiment have the 65th Independent Infantry Brigade and the 115th, 116th and 117th Independent Infantry Brigades, and the Signal Brigade, Engineer Corps, Heavy Infantry Brigade, Field Hospital and Sick Horse Factory directly under the division headquarters.
Japanese troops on the march
After the formation of the Japanese 68th Division, it was incorporated into the combat sequence of the Japanese Eleventh Army, and the commander of the army at that time was Lieutenant General Yokoyama, and because the 68th Division was formed in Jiujiang, the division continued to stay in the Jiujiang area to be responsible for operational tasks such as guarding and maintaining social order in the occupied areas.
In late May 1944, Sakuma led the 68th Division to participate in the Fourth Battle of Changsha, Changsha can be described as a heroic city, after the Chinese and Japanese armies have carried out three battles in Changsha, the commander of the Ninth Theater Xue Yue with the "Heavenly Furnace Tactics" to inflict heavy damage on the Japanese army, the theme of the creation of more film and television dramas, many military fans are familiar with the Battle of Changsha.
The Japanese are attacking the city
Beginning on 27 May, Sakuma led the 68th Division, along with Mizuo Yamagi's 3rd Division and Akashi's 13th Division, to attack Changsha, while the Chinese defenders conducted defensive operations, and the Japanese began to attack Changsha on 16 June after breaking through the outer defenses, until 19 June when Changsha fell.
After the fall of Changsha, the commander of the Eleventh Army, Yokoyama, attacked Hengyang City with the 68th Division regiment of Sakuma and the 116th Division of Yan Yongwang, and it was Fang Xianjue's 10th Army of the National Revolutionary Army stationed at Hengyang that began, and the most typical and tragic city offensive and defensive battle in the history of the Chinese War of Resistance began, but Sakuma did not take Hengyang to heart, and ordered the 115th Independent Infantry Brigade, which was the first to rush to Hengyang City, to start attacking the city, and the 2nd Squadron of the brigade stepped on the mine array through Huangchaling during the attack. At the same time as the mines exploded, several mortar shells flew in, and the Japanese army was blown up on the spot.
After receiving the rescue telegram from the commander of the 115th Infantry Brigade, Takaichi Hashimoto, Sakuma immediately moved the division headquarters forward to Huangchaling, leaving 2 infantry brigades as reserves, and the remaining 5 independent infantry brigades all participated in the attack on Hengyang, launching a general attack on the highlands of Stop Mountain and Dingjia Mountain north of Huangchaling, where the two armies repeatedly fought.
Japanese officers observe the battle
Sakuma was dissatisfied with the slow progress of the battle, so he decided to go to the front line to supervise the battle, the division chief of staff Harada Sasaburo could not be the commander, had to take a few staff and several guards to the position of the 115th Infantry Brigade to check the military situation, and arrived at the 115th Brigade Command Post at about 10 a.m., which was a commanding height, although the situation on the battlefield could be seen, but it was not hidden enough.
When Sakuma and his party gathered together to discuss the battle situation, the commander of the mortar company of the 10th Division of the Nationalist Reserve, Bai Lin, could see clearly in the telescope and determined that it was a command post of the Japanese army, so he decided to carry out the shelling, directly bombarding with the rapid effect of the 8 mortars of the whole company, one of the shells fell on the other side of the crowd and exploded, Sakuma was shot in the lower abdomen, and blood continued to ooze from the fat military pants.
Nationalist mortar artillery
The commander of the 115th Brigade, Takaichi Hashimoto, saw the situation and quickly arranged for the soldiers to send the division commander Sakuma to the divisional field hospital for treatment, and after examination by the military doctor, it was found that his lower abdomen was hit by two pieces of shrapnel, one of which cut off all 2 testicles under Sakuma's crotch, which was equivalent to being directly castrated by the shell skin, and the military doctors did not have to do removal surgery, but directly did debridement and suture treatment.
Before the arrogant and arrogant Sakuma arrived at Hengyang Castle, he was completely castrated by the miraculous shells of the Chinese army, which were like divine help, simply a scalpel, and accurately turned the Japanese Army Lieutenant General Sakuma into a eunuch, which was fixed on July 1, 1944.
Sakuma was injured
On the same day that Sakuma was injured, Sakuma succeeded him as the commander of the Sixty-eighth Division, and Sakuma could only lie on a hospital bed to recuperate, which may be a blessing for him, after all, Hengyang Castle was the burial place of the Japanese Sixty-eighth Division, and in this very tragic city offensive and defensive battle, the Sixty-eighth Division alone lost nearly 10,000 men.
The Japanese are climbing the city walls
On February 10, 1945, Sakuma returned from his wounds and served in Japan as the commander of the Japanese 84th Division, which was subordinate to the combat sequence of the Japanese 53rd Army, and the commander of the army was Akashiba Yaezo, who was the commander of the front line that captured Tengxian during the Battle of Taierzhuang, and the 53rd Army was under the jurisdiction of the 12th Front Army and the 1st General Army, stationed in the area north of Isehara, Japan, waiting for the implementation of the decisive battle on the mainland.
After Japan's unconditional surrender, Sakuma led the 84th Division to surrender to the U.S. army, the situation after the war is unknown, only that this "eunuch" died on October 28, 1970, as for the cause of Sakuma's injury, whether it became the talk of the Japanese people after dinner, it is not known.
