The main responsibilities of the Qianhai trademark acceptance window
In 2019, the Qianhai Administration officially launched the application work of the Qianhai trademark acceptance window. On January 4, 2021, the Trademark Office of the State Intellectual Property Office issued the Announcement on the Establishment of the Eleventh Batch of Trademark Business Acceptance Windows (Announcement No. 400 of the State Intellectual Property Office), officially approving the establishment of the "Shenzhen Qianhai Acceptance Window for Trademark Business of the State Intellectual Property Office" in the Qianhai e-Station Service Center.
The establishment of the Qianhai trademark acceptance window will help give full play to the core competitive advantages of Qianhai's rule of law innovation and mechanism system innovation, and promote the in-depth development of the reform of trademark registration facilitation.
The responsibilities of the Qianhai trademark acceptance window include:
1. Acceptance of trademark registration applications;
2. Acceptance of subsequent business applications such as trademark modification, assignment and renewal;
3. Acceptance of applications for registration of pledges of exclusive rights to use registered trademarks;
4. Issuing relevant paper trademark registration certificates on behalf of others;
5. Consulting work related to trademark acceptance;
6. Other business tasks assigned by the Trademark Office.
Shenzhen trademark acceptance ranked first in the country for three consecutive years
On September 1, 2016, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce officially launched the acceptance window for entrusting local governments to set up trademark registration applications.
By the end of 2020, the Trademark Office of the State Intellectual Property Office had approved the establishment of 212 local trademark acceptance windows nationwide, and in 2020, a total of 153,000 trademark registration applications and 272,000 follow-up business applications were accepted.
Among them, the Shenzhen trademark acceptance window accepted a total of 11,000 trademark registration applications in 2020, with 24,000 total businesses, and the number of window acceptances ranked first in the country for three consecutive years.
