Chen Jian also paid attention to the cause of culture and education, and in the forty-sixth year of the Ming Dynasty (1618), he established nineteen social schools in the urban and rural areas of Cangwu County (now Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, Guangxi Autonomous Region). Among them, there are five schools in Cangwu County, such as Inspiration and Yangzheng. In the forty-seventh year of the Ming Dynasty (1619), the prefectural school palace was rebuilt. In the forty-eighth year of the Ming Dynasty (1620), the Tanglan Hall was built in front of the long causeway outside the southeast gate of Wuzhou City, and the Wuyang Academy was built in the west of Wuzhou Chengtang. Chen Jian also donated a large amount of land to Beiliu (北流市, in present-day Yulin City, Guangxi Autonomous Region) and Cen Xi (岑溪市, in present-day Wuzhou City, Guangxi Autonomous Region), and other places. In addition, he donated hundreds of taels of silver to buy a large amount of land and established a righteous field. And the title of the essay: "Yitian Record", expounding its purpose and significance.

Chen Jian also knew Chen Xishao (陳熙韶) (present-day Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province) with Wuzhou, and continued to revise the Chronicle of Wuzhou Prefecture, but his departure was not completed. He served in Wuzhou for four years, made remarkable achievements, left his post at the end of his term, and was promoted to deputy envoy of Guangxi According to the Inspection Division. In the seventh year of the Ming Dynasty (1627), the people of Wuzhou, feeling their political achievements and political voices, renamed the Wuyang Academy "Chen Gong Ancestral Hall" to worship [during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, it was moved to the north of Wuzhou City, and later renamed "Double Sage Ancestral Hall" (no longer exists)], and in the fourth year of Qing Shunzhi (1647), Chen Jian died of illness at the age of 60.

Every year in the spring and autumn, the villagers will go to the tomb sweeping sacrifice.

It was rebuilt in the thirteenth year of The Qing Dynasty (1833) and renamed Qingyun Pavilion. Xianfeng was burned down by thieves in 4 years, and in the tenth year of Qing Tongzhi (1872), the Jian pavilion was built in the form of a family (Mr. Feng Shui) that it was not conducive to the gentry, and the Pavilion was rebuilt. Guanlan College (Wuyang Academy): Guanlan College is located outside the South Smoke Gate of Wuzhou City, Guangxi Autonomous Region. In the forty-eighth year of the Ming Dynasty (1620), the prefect Chen Jian was founded and named Wuyang Academy. The 10 counties of the elected province are apprenticed and taught in person. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, it was changed to Chen Gong Ancestral Hall to commemorate Chen Jian. In the Qing Dynasty, Wuyang Academy was occupied as a private residence for camp officials. In the 25th year of the Qing Kangxi Dynasty (1686), the prefect Chen Tianzhi donated money to redeem the Chen Gong Ancestral Hall and rebuild the academy. Because it is located on the riverside, Mencius "has the art of watching the water, and will look at its lan", "the flow of water is also a thing, not a yingke can not do; the gentleman's ambition is in the Tao, not a chapter is not reached", renamed "Guanlan Academy", still dedicated to Chen Gong in the academy. Later, Guanlan Academy was borrowed as a study booth, and soon the examination shed was demolished, and the Chen Gong Ancestral Hall was moved to the north of Wuzhou City. In the fifty-ninth year of the Qing Kangxi Dynasty (1720), the prefect Fan Dashi also died in Wuzhou, so the Chen Gong Ancestral Hall was rebuilt, and the two prefects of Wuzhou, Chen Jian and Chen Fan Dashi, were jointly enshrined, and renamed "Double Sage Ancestral Hall". For the sake of an official, for the benefit of one party, there are political achievements, after death, the people build a shrine to worship, this is the Chinese lineage of the name culture, corrupt officials, mediocre officials are not worthy, the people's hearts naturally have a pole.
