In the eastern part of Wuwei Minqin County, Gansu Province, there is a place called Suwu Town. Suwu Town is a township with a population of more than 30,000 people, with an area of 211.97 square kilometers. The name suwu town appeared in 2015. Historically, during the Two Han Dynasties, the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the Western Wei Dynasty, the territory of Suwu Town belonged to Xuanwei County. In December 2004, Yanglu Township and Xinhe Township merged into Suwu Township. In 2015, the township was withdrawn to set up Suwu Town.

Su Wu shepherds the sheep Beihai, starting from the "Hanshu Li GuangSu Jian Biography". Where is the North Sea? General history books say that it is lake Baikal in present-day Russia, and some people say that it is the area around the Baiting Sea in present-day Minqin County. Baitinghai is located in the northern lake district of Minqin County, Wuwei, Gansu Province, that is, in the area of Hongshaliang, Xiqu and Dongzhen in the northeast of present-day Minqin County. BaitingHai, formerly known as Hugh Tuze, is the end of the Shiyang River, and the Tang Dynasty once placed the Baiting Army on its land, so it was named Baitinghai.

Su Wu (140–60 BC), courtesy name Ziqing, was a native of Duling (present-day Xi'an, Shaanxi). Son of Taishou Sujian of the Western Han Dynasty. In the first year of the Han Dynasty (100 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was ordered to send an envoy to the Xiongnu with the general Zhonglang and was detained. The Xiongnu threatened to induce them to surrender, but did not follow them and moved their shepherds to the north sea. In the sixth year of the first century (81 BC), he was released and returned to Han. Su Wu endured hardships and remained in the Xiongnu for nineteen years to maintain his integrity, and after his death, he was listed as one of the eleven heroes of the Qilin Pavilion to show his integrity. There is Suwu Mountain in the southeast of the present-day Minqin County, which is said to be the place where Suwu shepherds sheep, and there are many moving legends about Suwu shepherding sheep here.

Su Wu Mu Tu

According to historical and geographical examination, the previous Baiting Seashore, the lake is blue, the water is abundant, and it was once the richest place in Minqin. The famous Suwu Mountain is said to be the place where Suwu herded sheep in those days. Thousands of years ago, this was a vast grassland where "windblown grass is low to see cattle and sheep", and the "sheep road" under the mountain is said to be the sheep intestine trail stepped on the grass by Su Wu's sheep. To this day, this place is called "Yanglu", that is, Yanglu Township, Minqin County. In 2004, Yanglu Township was abolished and merged into Xinhe Township, and later the new Suwu Township was built.

The deeds of Su Wu Muyang are well known to everyone, and in the history of Minqin, there is a Su Gong Ancestral Hall, a stele of "Rebuilding the Su Gong Ancestral Hall" was published, a stele of Su Wu Mu mu of Han ZhongLang, and another Su Wu Mountain, Su Wu Temple and its inscription poems are linked, and today Su Wu Square has also been built and a stele has been erected, and the stele yin is a relief of Su Wu Mu of Han Bai Yu. During the Qianlong period, wang Cijun of Zhenfanzhi County also mentioned in the "Monument to the Establishment of the Academy" written by Wang Cijun of Zhenfanzhi County that the founding of Sushan Academy was infected by the spirit of Su Wu.
