Steve Nash only coached Spencer Dinwiddie for two full regular-season games in 2020-21 before tearing his right front cruciate ligament ended Dinwiddie's final year with the Nets. Before Dinwiddie returned to Brooklyn with the Washington Wizards, Nash looked back on the Nets' five years of injuries and a return throughout the season. "He looks great," Nash said. "I just don't think it's fair to Spencer," Nash said, when asked if the Nets were considering Dinwiddie when they played against Milwaukee. In a sense, his vision was perfect. "So I personally don't like it. I don't think any of our medical staff think this is fair to Spencer. ... If that would jeopardize his current situation, it wouldn't be fair to Spencer. So we didn't bring it up. We think it's best to give him time to heal and let his career continue. ”
