Adapted from a popular manga serialized in the weekly magazine Morning by Yoshinaga Shi, the series tells the story of the cohabitation of Shiro Katsumi (Nishijima), a frugal and good at cooking, and his lover and gentle stylist Kenji Yabuki (Uchino), starting with their food and drinking lives as the axis. Nishijima, who plays many hardcore characters, plays a male couple with a contrasting personality, and the fans of the original game are very satisfied. After the initial replay, "Yesterday's Food" became the first popular twitter in the world for a while, and after it was finally broadcast, the call for shooting sequels and movies was high. In the "16th Confedence-Award Japanese Drama Awards", the work won the most quality TV drama work award in April 2019, and Nishijima and Ueno also won the best actor award.
