Waiting on campus for the birds to arrive, the white-bellied blue-bearded ibises
White-bellied bluebird (scientific name: Cyanoptila cyanomelana): 14–17 cm long, small bird. The male has a cobalt blue or cobalt blue on the top of the head, a purple or blue blue for the rest of the upper body, black brown on both wings and tail, the plumage is the same color as the dorsal, and the base of the lateral tail feathers is white. The sides of the head, chin, throat, and thorax are black, and the rest of the underparts are white. The female has olive-brown upperparts, rust-stained waist, and white eye circles. The chin and throat are white, the chest is grayish brown, and the underparts are white.
