Previously, on June 10, The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) released the article "The two graduation master's degree theses are now similar, and relevant universities launch investigations". In response to this matter, the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China recently replied to the surging news through an email that the plagiarism of the master's degree thesis of Jia Guilin, a master's student of the university in 2005, was established and decided to revoke his master's degree.

In the email sent by the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, it was written that the suspected plagiarism of jia Guilin's master's degree thesis of the 2005 master's degree master's degree of the university was founded after the school verified that the plagiarism was established, and in accordance with the provisions of the "Measures for Handling Fraudulent Behavior of Graduate Dissertations of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China", the fourth plenary meeting of the tenth degree evaluation committee of the university decided to revoke Jia Guilin's master's degree on June 23, 2020. Its master's degree certificate (certificate number: Z1061432008C00124) will be invalidated from now on.

According to the surging news, Jia Guilin, a 2007 graduate of the Electronic and Communication Engineering Department of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Fu Shengbo, a 2007 graduate of the School of Communication and Information Systems of the School of Information Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology, have a high degree of similarity in their master's degree thesis. Among them, Jia Guilin's paper was submitted in November 2007, and Fu Shengbo's paper was submitted in April 2007, seven months before Jia Guilin. In this regard, Jia Guilin said in an interview with the surging news that the requirements for on-the-job graduate students are not very high, and the master's degree thesis does refer to other people's materials. Fu Shengbo said that the master's degree thesis was original to me. At that time, the relevant departments of the two schools replied to the surging news on this matter. Among them, the Graduate School of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China said that it has launched an investigation into whether Jia Guilin's dissertation is plagiarized.
