A supplement to the question of the grading of well-known chess players and the issue of Hong Zhishi cheng

author:Talk about history in small time

Yesterday I published an article entitled: "Small Talk Chess Grandmaster - Hong Zhi", which has been read by many readers likes and messages, thank you very much. Of course, there are also some questions in the message that I wanted to answer one by one after seeing it today, but I still want to write a special article to show that I attach importance to readers.

Hong Zhi

Basically two of these message questions are more controversial. One is whether Liu Dahua is Hong Zhi's master in the end, and the other is the question of the grade of well-known chess players. The problem of this grade also mainly focuses on the question of how many grades Lü Qin belongs to.

Well, let me start with the first question.

The first problem is easier to solve, we just need to search the Internet to know. First show you the results of a certain degree of search:

If someone says that the result of a certain degree is not credible, then let's look at another news report.

A supplement to the question of the grading of well-known chess players and the issue of Hong Zhishi cheng

This is the news published by the local newspaper in Wuhan called Wuhan Evening News, which was issued on December 3, 2006, and this report clearly stated that the relationship between Hong Zhi and Liu Dahua was a master-apprentice relationship. If I don't believe it either, then I can't do anything about it.

In fact, the relationship between Hong Zhi and Liu Dahua is definitely a master-apprentice relationship, after all, Hong Zhi entered the Hubei team at the age of 13 to learn chess, although he did not compile, but Liu Dahua is the head coach, has taught him to play chess can not be called "teacher"? There must be people who think that they have to formally hand over tea to the teacher to count as a teacher, whether Hong Zhi has officially paid homage to Liu Dahua, I don't know, but I know that when we were studying at school as students, we never did the worship ceremony, nor did we hand over tea to the teacher to drink, but the person in the class who taught you to read and write is your teacher.

Let me give you another example, for example, when old Jiang was the principal of the Whampoa Military Academy, all the people who studied at the school admitted that he was his student, and it may not be appropriate to take the example of the negative figure of old Chiang, so let's take Zhou Enlai as an example, Premier Zhou was the director of the political department of the Whampoa Military Academy, and the people who studied in Whampoa during that period also said that they were his students, and those people also called the premier a teacher.

So let's not worry about whether they really have a tea ceremony, Hong Zhi as a student to hubei team to participate in the training, and Liu Dahua is the head coach, this is not what is the master-apprentice relationship? Taught him to play chess, not a teacher and what is it?

Some people say that they have watched Hong Zhi's live broadcast, Hong Zhi did not say that Liu Dahua was his teacher, I have also been watching Hong Zhi's live broadcast, frankly I have not heard him say this, but I have heard Liu Dahua talk about the past of chess during the live broadcast, mentioned that he taught Hong Zhi to play chess, and also said that Hong Zhi was greedy to play and so on.

In short, no matter what, Hong Zhi was certainly not very happy in the past few years in the Hubei team, after all, the problem of establishment has not been solved, otherwise he would not have gone to the Jilin team to be so firm. As for the deeper questions, we don't know.

Liu Dahua

The second question is the question of what grade Lüchin should be in.

As for this issue, I said in the article that this is my personal opinion, I can only represent my own point of view, I cannot represent others, your views can be different from mine, but please respect my right to express my views.

I graded it like this in the article:

If you divide the famous chess players into grades, I personally think it should be like this:

First gear: Yang Guanxuan, Hu Ronghua, Xu Yinchuan and Wang Tianyi

The reason is very simple, they are all the strongest in their era, of which Wang Tianyi has the least number of championships, but there are also three times, to be honest, if it is not the individual championship rules are limited, Wang Tianyi is most likely to break through Hu Ronghua's fourteen crowns.

Second gear: Li Yiting, Wang Jialiang, Li Laiqun, Lü Qin and Zheng Weitong

The reason is also simple, they are the strongest contenders in the first gear

Third gear: Jiang Chuan, Zhao Xinxin, Wang Yang, Hong Zhi, Meng Chen, Liu Dahua, etc.

Here I also explain the reasons for my grading, in my opinion of the strongest in an era is definitely in the first gear. Who is the strongest in the Lingnan Shuangxiong era? We're still talking about data, take a look at the chart below.

Source Guangdong Chess Network

In the Guangdong Chess Network, the number of games they played with chess was 105 games, of which the number of chess games was 74, Lü Qin won only 9 games against Xu Yinchuan, while the loss to Xu Yinchuan had 22 sets, and the winning rate of Xu Yinchuan was only 43.8%, and it was clear who was strong and who was weak, although Lü Qin had won five crowns, but in the period of Lingnan double dominance, he was obviously slightly inferior to Xu Yinchuan. Therefore, he cannot be tied with Xu Yinchuan in one grade, he can only be relegated to the second grade, in my opinion, the first grade must be the strongest of the times, and the second grade is the strongest competitor of the first grade. I also know that there are a lot of people who like Lu Qin very much, and I put him in the second grade and am not convinced, but we should still look at it rationally and speak with data.

As for Teacher Zhao Guorong, I put him in the third grade, after all, he did not belong to his era, Lü Qin had a Lingnan Shuangxiong era, so Teacher Zhao was one notch lower than Lü Qin. Of course, it is still that sentence, these can only represent my personal views, and it is normal for everyone not to agree.
