In recent years, the number of local players in the CBA All-Star Game has increased. In addition to the emergence of more and more excellent players by local players, the implementation of the foreign aid salary cap has also made the conditions for foreign aid to enter the CBA more stringent. It is worth mentioning that at the time of the announcement of this year's All-Star launch, a former CBA All-Star had an accident.

According to WDRB News, a media outlet in Louisville, Kentucky, former Beijing Shougang foreign aid Randolph Morris is facing up to 20 years in prison on Wednesday local time for federal wire transfer fraud and renewed tax returns.
According to the indictment, the two-time CBA All-Star failed to declare the more than $13 million he earned during his time in the CBA from 2010 to 2017, and a jury at Lexington issued 11 charges against Morris.
The indictment also adds that during his time at Beijing Shougang in 2015, 2016 and 2017, Morris filed false income information, costing Kentucky more than $400,000 in taxes. The U.S. Department of Justice's public Morris CBA income statement shows that his income in the three years was 2.63 million, 1.98 million and 2.08 million US dollars, respectively.
The timing of the trial of morris's allegations has not yet been determined, in addition to a maximum of 20 years in prison, Morris will face a fine of $250,000 for each wire transfer fraud, in addition to facing a maximum of 3 years in prison for false tax declarations. At present, the incriminating evidence is still in the charging stage, and Morris has the right to file a complaint and appeal.
For Morris, a foreign aid, I believe many people are familiar with it. He participated in the 2005 NBA Draft and was unfortunately defeated. He joined the Knicks as a free agent in 2006–07, playing for two seasons before moving to the Hawks, and at the end of the 2009–10 season, Morris was unable to stay in the NBA.
He joined Beijing Shougang in 2010 and averaged 30.8 points, 12.2 boards, 2.3 assists, 1.9 breaks and 1.5 caps per game in his first season. In the 2011-12 season, the Beijing team formed a foreign aid combination of Morris + Marbury, and they defeated Guangdong 4-1 in the finals to win the first CBA championship in team history.
In the 2013-14 season, Shougang reached the finals again under the leadership of the two of them. Facing Xinjiang's inner group, Morris averaged 23 points, 12 boards and 2 hats per game, and finally helped the team win the championship again at 4-2. He himself was named MVP in the Finals, becoming the first foreign aid in CBA history to win an FMVP.
In the 2014-15 season, Morris helped Shougang beat Liaoning 4-2 in the finals, completing the feat of winning the championship for the first time in team history. Unfortunately, from this time on, Shougang began to decline, the old horse gradually aged, Morris was difficult to support, coupled with injury troubles, the two sides finally broke up at the end of the 2017-18 season.
As a meritorious foreign aid of Shougang, Morris's contract was already good in the CBA at that time. But contributions on the basketball court cannot eliminate the impact of breaking the law. In any case, I hope these things will be clarified as soon as possible.
