Zhang Ziyan (December 8, 1982 – March 7, 2009)
More than three thousand cases that have not been clearly investigated day and night, after the restart of investigation during this period of time, can it be revealed that Zhang Ziyan has a fair hand?
Over the past week, South Korean entertainer Lee Seung-sung has become the stick that prys South Korean society.
In the Victory nightclub incident, South Korean actresses were raped, secretly filmed, and needed to provide sexual services for male stars and their customers. In the male star's mobile phone, they are only the number 1, 2 and 3, not a living person.
As the case has been investigated, the discussion of the status of women in South Korea has become more and more intense. On the 12th of this month, some netizens launched a request on the "Blue House National Petition Board" to extend the investigation period of Zhang Ziyan's case, and as of the 18th, more than 570,000 people had signed a petition.
According to the Blue House rules, if more than 200,000 people sign a petition within a month, the government will respond within 30 days.
At noon on the 18th, more than 570,000 netizens asked to re-investigate Zhang Ziyan's case.
On March 19, South Korean President Moon Jae-in issued instructions asking the police and prosecutors to "gamble their fate" and thoroughly investigate the truth.
Moon said that even the events that occurred during the previous governments would be regarded as a dereliction of duty by the current government if the truth could not be thoroughly investigated, and if it could not conduct a fair investigation because it was a privileged class, the government could not talk about social justice.
In March 2009, South Korean actress Jang Zi-yeon committed suicide at home after leaving a suicide note. In her suicide note, she accused the brokerage company of being the devil who forced her to provide sexual services and exposed a list of 31 people who had been involved in the sex trade.
Last year, the Truth Investigation Team of the South Korean Procuratorate also re-investigated the list left by Zhang Ziyan before she committed suicide at the request of netizens, and the investigation period will end at the end of March 2019. The attention of 570,000 people has delayed Zhang Ziyan's case for another two months. This is already the fourth postponement of the investigation into the Zhang Ziyan incident.

Zhang Ziyan died unjustly for 10 years
On March 7, 2009, South Korean actress Jang Zi-yeon hanged herself at home, ending her life.
On this day, Zhang Ziyan was not yet 27 years old, only 3 years after her debut as an advertisement for Lego cookies, and her participation in the Korean version of "Fancy Man" has not yet been broadcast to the finale.
Stills of "Fancy Man", the left one is Zhang Ziyan.
According to reports, at 3:30 p.m. that day, she called her sister and said that she was under "great pressure", with a little meaning of taking her life. After that, no one could contact her again. At 7:42 p.m., my sister rushed home and saw only Zhang's body.
According to a 2009 report in South Korea's JoongAng Ilbo, Zhang had been treated for depression for a year before his death and was also taking tranquilizers.
At this time, depression is widely believed to be the cause of Zhang's suicide - Zhang Ziyan's parents died in a car accident in 1999, she seems to have never come out of this haze, and the huge pressure after entering the entertainment industry has further prompted her depression.
Zhang Ziyan's agent, Liu Mou, tried to burn the suicide notes.
I did not expect that at the end of March, some Korean media received Zhang's suicide note. In her suicide note, Zhang Ziyan said that she had been forced to provide sexual services to powerful people in the entertainment industry, media, finance and politics.
The police then launched an investigation based on the list on the suicide note.
Jin's 3-storey brokerage firm
They found a three-story building of Zhang's brokerage company, with an upscale bar on the first floor, an office on the second floor, and a "secret room" on the third floor with bathrooms and beds. President Jin later admitted that he had violently beaten Zhang Ziyan, but always claimed that "the show business did not sleep with her."
According to a foreign media report, the police "incomprehensibly" ended the investigation and hastily closed the case with "suicide". None of the people on the list were affected, and Jin Mou, the president of the brokerage company, and Liu Mou, the agent who provided the suicide note to the media, were sentenced by the court to 1 year in prison, suspended for two years, and 160 hours of social service for violence and defamation, respectively. Jin only needs to compensate Zhang Ziyan's family for 24 million won, which is equivalent to 140,000 yuan.
Two years later, South Korea's SBS news program received a handwritten letter from Zhang Ziyan. The letters, which numbered to 50, documented Ms. Zhang's forced sexual service to 31 men more than a hundred times and her various sexual abuses. Zhang said in his suicide note, "They are all evil demons, and I have made a list and must take revenge to the end." ”
She also wrote, "Whenever I change new clothes, I want to accompany the wine and sleep to meet the new man." ”
The same handwriting verification, the media invited experts and the search institute have different results.
The person in charge of SBS News asked experts to identify the handwriting of the letter, which was indeed written by Zhang Ziyan herself. But the South Korean police and the National Science Search Institute subsequently held a press conference in response, saying that the letter was created by a paranoia prisoner who imitated Zhang's tone and had no reference value.
The investigation into the 2011 Zhang Ziyan incident ended with an apology from SBS News.
Fast forward to 2018, with the launch of the "Me too movement", 200,000 South Korean netizens jointly requested to investigate the truth of Zhang Ziyan's case, and the news program "Newsroom" reviewed the case that year, pointing out that there were many rich second generations involved in the case, but no one was prosecuted, not even subpoenaed.
South Korean media exposed individual people involved in the case - Cho Hee-chi, a reporter for Cho Hee-chion of the Cho Ilbo who had forced Jang Zi-yeon to sit on his knees, suspected of indecency, and his wife was a prosecutor; the TV drama director Jeong Se-ho had also asked Jang to accompany him to Thailand to play golf; Park Wen-deok, the president of South Korea's Jinlu Liquor Industry, had paid Jang 10 million and later explained that it was money to "buy seaweed wrapped rice"; And The second son of the president of chosun Ilbo, Fang Zhengwu, allegedly let Jang accompany him to drink on his mother's death day...
The media dug up a lot and made it public, but the prosecutor said that the number of people involved was too large and it was difficult to collect evidence. As soon as the prosecution period arrived, Zhang Ziyan's case was buried again.
The person involved.
Suicide of Korean actress,
Every piece is thought out
This year, the 10th anniversary of Zhang Ziyan's death, the only witness to the case, Yin Zhiwu, testified.
Yin Zhiwu is a descendant of Zhang Ziyan, and he was also forced to accompany the wine. Earlier this year, Yin Zhiwu published the book "13 Testimonies". For 10 years, she insisted on speaking out for the Zhang Ziyan incident, was banned, and had to live abroad for a long time, but at the same time she still assisted in the investigation and testified on 13 occasions for Zhang Ziyan's case.
Yin Zhiwu was recently interviewed by the media.
Yin Zhiwu said in an article released on the 17th that she has always been "the unknown person in the entertainment industry", and now reporters are avoiding her, making her feel desperate.
She said that she no longer has the luxury of asking the media to report the truth, but only hopes that the media can abide by the minimum professional ethics and publish the truth about what she said in the interview. This time back to China to testify, she did not expect the police's personal protection, but opened a live video broadcast, so that netizens can become the guardians of their lives.
Lee Mi-sook and Jang Zi-yeon are artists from the same company.
Yoon Ji-woo shouted at another South Korean actress, Lee Mi-sook, on a show, "Although I am a junior of the same company, I have not directly met Lee Mi-sook's predecessor. So she should know something I don't know. Whatever it is, please tell the truth. ”
Lee Mei-sook, Zhang Ziyan and Yin Zhiwu were all originally artists under The Contents agency, and Li had a lot more fame and works than the latter two.
Recently, the Dispatch agency broke the news that Li Meishu had colluded with Zhang's agent Liu Mou, and the "suicide note" with the list was written by the two people who instigated Zhang, and then pushed all the responsibility to Zhang Ziyan, which was the direct cause of Zhang's suicide due to excessive pressure.
Dispatch exposed surveillance video, Zhang Ziyan had met with Liu a few days before her death.
According to the report, at that time, Li Meishu had a dispute with the brokerage company due to the termination of the contract, and at the same time, Zhang also hoped to terminate the contract with the company. After Li Meishu learned of this, she joined hands with her agent Liu Mou to ask Zhang Ziyan to list the incidents of being forced to sleep with the agency on weekdays, and tried to threaten the company's president Jin Mou with this list.
The two are said to have promised Zhang Ziyan that they would not make the documents public, but in the days before Zhang's suicide, they repeatedly leaked them to the media.
Four years ago, Kim sued Lee and Yoo and claimed 500 million won from Lee Mi-sook.
But whether it was 4 years ago or today, Lee Mi-sook has always claimed that she has nothing to do with the case, and has not even met Zhang Ziyan.
Coincidentally, after Lee Mei-sook escaped from Jin's The Contents brokerage company, she joined the brokerage company that Liu later established.
If Diapatch's report is true, The case of Zhang Ziyan has become a battle royale for Korean female artists - in hell, there are always people who can't escape, and some people will use the death of others in exchange for their own freedom.
Cui is real
On October 2, 2008, Cui Zhen committed suicide by hanging himself with a bandage in the bathroom of his residence after acting in the movie "The Last Scandal of My Life", at the age of 39.
Zheng Duobin
Because "That Kid Is Really Handsome" is well known to Chinese audiences, Zheng Duobin, known as "Little Cui True", hanged himself at her boyfriend's house on February 10, 2007.
Lee Eun Joo
Lee Eun-joo, who won the South Korean MBC Drama Acting Award for "Firebird", hanged himself in 2005 due to depression at the age of 25.
U-No
Singer U-Nee, a child star by birth, suddenly committed suicide the day before the new album was filmed. A person from the acting planning company said: "She feels very bitter because of the online pranks. As a signature artist with a sexy image, he was condemned by netizens for being overexposed, and seems to be under a lot of pressure because of the plastic surgery controversy. Her mother said she also suffered from depression.
Every once in a while, there are actresses who can't stand the pressure and end their lives, which is not the curse of a certain company, but the bloody reality under the "slave contract" of the entire Korean entertainment industry.
The ending subtitles of the movie "Plaything" based on Zhang Ziyan's case are as follows:
"45.3% of female artists answered that they had been asked to accompany the wine, and 62.8% had been asked for sexual companionship by people associated with the program or people with social rights."
Three weeks after Ms. Zhang's death, a South Korean celebrity gossip blogger wrote on his account that this was just part of the "march toward tragedy" in the South Korean entertainment industry.
She noted that exploitation and abuse are the dirty secrets of the Korean entertainment industry, and some actresses in top position also have to please producers or directors. And those "promising" actresses will be given the opportunity to face the VIP alone in exchange for the role; the VIP will also introduce them to other VIPs, and the men will continue to pay money to sponsor her to live a luxurious life.
"It's an open secret, and it's the only way for them to become actresses."
Sometimes, blood may be a magic weapon to reverse tragedy
In stark contrast to Lee Mi-sook's avoidance, Yoon Ji-woo comes forward again and again.
She said that no one in the show business circle stood up to seek justice for Zhang Ziyan, not even a sentence of "sorry for the Zhang Ziyan incident", which made her feel cold. Although she also knows what everyone is afraid of, she really hopes to hear the solidarity from her colleagues in the show business world, even if it is just a "cheers".
The sound of cheering is always there.
For example, The female artist Gu Hye-sun, who co-starred with Zhang Ziyan in the Korean version of "Fancy Man", recently posted a still on Instagram. She wrote: "My sister who stuffed my hands with warm babies, sorry my sister who didn't have a group photo, rest well in heaven." ”
For example, in a march last August in support of Hora's dated violence by her ex-boyfriend, the girls at Ewha Women's University held up signs that read: "All Korean men are criminals, people who shoot, people who upload, people who watch, people who stand by." My life is not your A-piece. ”
For example, Moon Jae-in, who issued a bloody oath and demanded to "gamble on fate" to thoroughly investigate the truth.
I don't know if he remembered his old friend, former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun, when he saw the documents of The Jang-yeon incident. In May 2009, shortly after Ms. Jang's sensational suicide, Roh Moo-hyun committed suicide by jumping off a cliff at Owl Rock in Houshan, a private residence in Gyeongsangnam-do Province. Previously, he was also involved in a bribery scandal, and south Korean prosecutors did not end the investigation until after his death.
The movie "The Defender".
Both Moon and Roh moo-hyun are lawyers, and south Koreans are increasingly concerned about how Moon will handle these cases involving women's rights. After all, in the Korean movie "The Defender", which is based on the two of them, the protagonist kicked his own stable life in order to protect the rights of the son of the hotel owner's wife, and embarked on a difficult defense road.
The real Korean society is indeed shrouded in the hands of the chaebols. Their money and power may allow them to understand the mode of social operation better than ordinary people, but they cannot change the operation of the whole society. Moon Jae-in's instructions also mentioned that the Yongsan massacre in South Korea and the Kim Gakuyi incident, the former vice minister of justice of South Korea, may be stimulated by more justice.
The awakening and protest of South Korean female college students and the joint petition of 570,000 netizens all confirm the sentence in the movie "Melting Pot", and there will always be people who will "fight all the way to not be changed by the world."
