On the morning of October 24, the first session of the Sixth People's Congress of Tianxin District held its second plenary session. Yu Xian, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Fifth District People's Congress, made a work report, and Peng Yuanqiang, executive chairman of the conference, presided over the meeting. The general assembly shall be composed of 243 delegates, and the actual number of delegates shall be 238, in accordance with the quorum.
Yu Xian said that in the past five years, under the strong leadership of the district party committee, the Standing Committee of the Fifth District People's Congress has adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, studied and implemented the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Party and the spirit of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Plenary Sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, always adhered to the organic unity of the party's leadership, the people's mastery, and the rule of law, closely followed the center, performed their duties according to law, and successfully completed all work tasks of the current session.
The current Standing Committee held a total of 39 standing committee meetings and 141 directors' meetings, made 28 resolutions and decisions, appointed and dismissed 441 staff members of state organs, heard and deliberated 140 special work reports, issued 30 letters of deliberation opinions, inspected and supervised the implementation of 9 laws, and played a positive role in accelerating the construction of "wisdom Tianxin and the core of the city".
Yu Xian said that the Sixth Party Congress of the District drew a new blueprint for Tianxin's economic and social development in the next five years. How to closely follow the "three highs and four new" strategy and the positioning of "one army and three regions," give play to the advantages of the people's congress, and serve the overall situation of the service center is a new topic facing the work of the people's congress. It is suggested that the new regional people's congress and its standing committee, under the correct leadership of the district party committee, should, first, further highlight the attributes of political organs and firmly establish the four consciousnesses; second, further grasp the positioning of work organs and enhance the effectiveness of supervision; and third, further give play to the role of deputies organs and maintain close ties with the masses.
