On the afternoon of October 15, after the demonstration and sermon, the participating masters of the first batch of "2021 Guangdong Buddhist Lecturing and Exchange Meeting" took to the stage in turn to give lectures. As the second contestant, Master Zhengdao from the Zhuhai Buddhist Association explained "How to Benefit Sentient Beings" according to the "Puxian Wish".
Based on this sutra, the True Path Master combines the Ten Wishes of Puxian Bodhisattva with his own observations of this world and talks about how to benefit sentient beings. When talking about "suixi merit", he pointed out to the point: "The reason why we are jealous is not because we have lost something, but because others have gained", and only suixi can eliminate our jealousy. When Buddhist disciples benefit sentient beings through the practice of "accumulating food, purifying karmic obstacles, and harmonizing compassion and wisdom", they can jointly build a harmonious society and achieve the long-term goal of "community of human destiny".
Phoenix Network Buddhism learned at the scene that the jury will be based on the five standards of miaoji (3 points), miaoji (2 points), magic machine (2 points), shooting crowd (2 points), and Weiyi (1 point), and the six judges will score on the spot, and after removing the highest score and lowest score, the average score obtained is the score of the contestants. After the first sermon, the True Path Master scored 6.71 points.
It is reported that there were three more lectures on October 16 and 17, and finally the jury focused on evaluating the rankings and awarding awards.
