The exhibition of the theme painting of the film "Yeshe Dolma" was unveiled at the Pingyao Film Palace

The works exhibited in this exhibition embody the painter Fu Jingsheng's feelings and feelings about the nature and humanities of Tibet during his photography in Tibet.

At the end of the screening, the audience erupted in warm applause. Jia Zhangke, founder of Pingyao International Film Festival, introduced that "Yeshe Zhuoma" is a feature film adapted from a novel by director Xie Fei in 2000, and it was re-screened in Pingyao more than 20 years later, and the main creators gathered together again, which is in line with the theme of "gathering" of this film festival.

In addition to director Xie Fei and cinematographer Fu Jingsheng, the main creative actors La Qiong, Renqing Dunzhu, Basang and Zhou Tiehai also shared their shooting experiences and relived their feelings with the audience. Also "gathered" in the audience were a number of "fourth-generation" filmmakers invited by Xie Fei, and some of their representatives will also communicate with the audience at the Academic Event "Dialogue: Xie Fei and His Classmates" on October 14.

When talking about why he wanted to create a film about Tibet, Xie Fei described that he was deeply influenced by the poet Cangyang Gyatso and added two of his poems to the film. "The life of Yeshe Dolma and the life of Cangyang Gyatso are the pearls that the Tibetan people have contributed to human culture." "Yeshe Dolma" is the third film that Fu Jingsheng and Xie Fei have collaborated on. Fu Jingsheng said that when he was shooting, he "painted with a lens, requiring every frame to be an oil painting"; after the killing, he used a paintbrush to solidify the orange morning light of Mount Everest on paper and canvas, and the action of Yeshe Dolma's long prostration and blessing... During this year's film exhibition, the "Fu Jingsheng - Film "Yeshe Dolma" Theme Painting Exhibition" was opened free of charge at the New Wave Bookstore on the second floor of the atrium of the Pingyao Film Palace.
