Composed in the 1950s, with lyrics by Guan Hua and music by Zhang Wengang, this song was originally the third song in the children's suite "Song of Summer Travel", and later became an interlude in the film of the same name, "Our Field".
"Our Field" is a lyrical song loved by generations of children and teenagers. The lyrics are vivid and vivid, and the scenery description is meticulous, including a general description of fields, skies, rivers and lakes, forests, etc., a detailed portrayal of lotus flowers, carp, reeds, wild ducks and other things around them, as well as enthusiastic praise for the hard work of people from all walks of life such as loggers, construction workers, and exploration team members. In 1953, lyricist Guan Hua and composer Zhang Wengang saw the happy life of children in New China at the summer camp for primary and secondary school students held in Beijing, and they were touched and inspired to create this song "Our Field". As soon as the song came out, it was loved by Chinese children and widely circulated, and it was successively awarded the first prize of the Second National Children's Literary and Art Creation Award, the favorite song of contemporary children, and the classic works of Chinese music in the 20th century. Guan Hua, formerly known as Bao Huapu, is a member of the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Cppcc Committees of the People's Republic of China, and was the vice chairman and chairman of the Beijing Municipal Federation of Literature and Art, the president of the Beijing Laoshe Literary and Art Foundation, the president of the Beijing Laoshe Research Association, and a first-class writer. The film "Our Field" is a drama film produced by the Beijing Film Academy Youth Film Studio, released in 1983.
