As of October 25, 478,000 mu have been sown, 88.5% of the progress has been completed. Among them, 122,000 mu of drip-irrigation wheat (planned 135,000 mu, 90% of the progress completed), 12,000 mu of high-yield demonstration fields have been created, and more than 2,000 mu of wheat breeding bases have been built.

On the same day, in the farmland of the family of Reimu Keranmu, a villager in Gole Erik Village, Akwustang Township, Kuqa City, the planter shuttled back and forth and was sowing wheat. This year, Reimu Keranmu planted 30 acres of wheat, using wheat drip irrigation technology, to achieve scientific water-saving fertilization, mu yield of 600 kilograms, coupled with the national subsidies for farmers, the income is considerable.

Reim Koranmu said, "Today my wheat sowing is about to be completed. In recent years, under the guidance of technical personnel, we have selected high-quality winter wheat to achieve scientific farming, and the wheat has achieved a bumper harvest every year. ”

According to the relevant person in charge of Akwustang Township in Kuqa City, the township plans to sow 43,000 mu of winter wheat, and 39,000 mu have been sown at present, of which 12,000 mu have been sown by droppers and 11,000 mu have been completed. Winter wheat planting in the township will end on October 30.

The reporter learned from the Kuqa Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that since the beginning of this year, Kuqa City has focused on improving grain production capacity, ensuring food security as the primary task of the "three rural" work, and taking many measures to ensure that grain production is improved and efficiency in accordance with the requirements of high yield, high efficiency, high quality and safety. First of all, a wheat breeding base was built to lay a good foundation for building an industrialization system for wheat seeds and realizing the coverage of wheat seeds.

In order to do a good job in sowing winter wheat, the agricultural and rural areas of Kuqa City, market supervision and other departments have given priority to the supply of agricultural materials, comprehensively strengthened the transfer of agricultural materials and quality supervision, and ensured market supply. At the same time, we should improve the land preparation technology based on deep ploughing (pine) and suppression, actively promote the technology of mixing seeds with medicinal agents and fine seeds, conscientiously do a good job in predicting and forecasting and preventing and controlling pests and diseases, make every effort to promote measures to reduce the amount and increase efficiency of chemical fertilizers, and implement the full coverage of grain production soil testing and formula fertilization, so as to ensure that wheat is sown and fully sown and harvested.

The responsible person of the relevant department of agriculture and rural areas of Kuqa City said that Kuqa City should seize the good opportunity of autumn planting, promote the creation of high-yield demonstration fields for grain, take drip irrigation of wheat as the main measure for creating high-yield fields, realize 100 percent of fine seed coverage, scientific fertilization, comprehensive control of diseases and insect pests, and mechanical cultivation, actively carry out research on high-yield models based on new varieties and new technologies, do a good job in technical reserves, and provide reliable technical support for the balanced increase of large-scale wheat production.

Relevant experts from the Kuqa City Agricultural Technology Extension Station suggested that the frost has passed, wheat sowing will be fully completed before the end of the month, and the plots where the sowing is completed should strengthen field management to ensure that the winter wheat seedlings are complete and strong. Plots for straw returning should be suppressed in a timely manner to increase wheat's drought resistance.
