For more than 60 years, several generations of Daqing people have worked hard to start a business and relay struggle, and once the wasteland has grown into the largest oil production base in China, with a cumulative production of 2.43 billion tons of crude oil.

"No one in the crowd around them spoke, and it was very quiet until someone shouted ,' Out of the oil!' Oil out! Everyone hugged and hugged and wept. Elder Han Zuochun, a hygienist of the 32118 drilling team who undertook the drilling task of The Songji Three Wells, recalled the scene at that time. At that time, it happened to be the 10th anniversary of the founding of New China, and the National Day was approaching, and Ouyang Qin, then the first secretary of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee, proposed to rename the town of Datong, where Songji Mitsui was located, to "Daqing", and the Daqing oilfield was also named.
At the beginning of 1960, the CPC Central Committee approved and forwarded the report of the party group of the Ministry of Petroleum on organizing the Battle of Songliao Petroleum, and a battle for the exploration and development of daqing oilfield in the mighty mountains and rivers began. "In the early days of the battle, people had a blue sky on their heads, a wasteland under their feet, swamps and saline beaches everywhere, not to mention material supply and logistical support, and eating and living were a big problem." Sun Guilan, director of the Daqing Oilfield History Exhibition Hall, said.

The once energetic Songji Mitsui is no longer young, and after accumulating 10,088 tons of oil, it was officially shut down in July 1988. On September 26, 1989, the Songkey Mitsui Monument was inaugurated. Not far from the former site of Songji Mitsui, there is a "flag" relief wall, and the wall reads "Daqing comes from here" with several big characters, as if to tell the story of the oil battle army in only 3 years to throw the hat of "China's poor oil" into the Pacific Ocean, and the passionate burning years will never be erased.

In May 1960, when the oilfield drilling rig hit 700 meters, a blowout occurred, and a powerful high-pressure liquid column rushed out of the wellhead more than 20 meters high, and an accident was about to happen. Su Aihua, director of the Iron Man Wang Jinxi Memorial Hall, said, "At this critical moment, Wang Jinxi threw away his crutches and jumped into the mud pool despite his leg injury, and together with his co-workers, after 3 hours of fighting, he finally suppressed the blowout and saved the oil well and equipment." ”
Wang Jinxi was burned out of the blood bubble by the mud containing a variety of chemical agents and caustic soda, and the injured leg became a blur of flesh and blood. As soon as everyone pulled him up, he passed out. Su Aihua said that this is the heroic feat of the iron man King Jinxi," who "would rather live for 20 years less and desperately want to win the big oil field."
With the passage of time, the torch of the spirit has been passed on and raised in the hands of generations of Daqing people. The second generation of "iron man" Wang Qimin, "would rather work hard and let the oil field produce stable and higher yields", and used science and technology to revitalize oil and ensure stable production; the third generation of "iron man" Li Xinmin, "would rather go through all kinds of difficulties and dangers, but also to offer oil for the motherland", and hit the oil wells abroad...
In the Daqing Oilfield History Exhibition Hall, there is such a set of figures: the cumulative production of crude oil is 2.43 billion tons, loaded with 60 tons of tank trucks, and the oil trucks can circle the equator 14.58 times; the cumulative payment of taxes and fees and various funds is 2.9 trillion yuan, and 58 Three Gorges Dams can be built...
With the efforts of Daqing petroleum people represented by Wang Jinxi, Wang Qimin and Li Xinmin, Daqing Oilfield has created a miracle in the history of oilfield development in the world: from 1976 to 2002, it has achieved high production and stable production of more than 50 million tons for 27 consecutive years, while the stable production period of similar oilfields in the world is generally only 3-5 years, and the maximum is only 12 years. From 2003 to 2014, Daqing Oilfield achieved another 40 million tons of continuous stable production for 12 consecutive years. Since 2015, it has continued to maintain a world-class level of oil and gas production equivalent of more than 40 million tons.
The times move forward, and the spirit lives on. At present, daqing iron man Wang Jinxi Memorial Hall has become a national patriotism education demonstration base and a national first-class museum. Since its official opening on September 26, 2006, the museum has received more than 11 million visitors and more than 35,000 important groups at home and abroad. "We have also set up the Daqing Spirit Iron Man Spirit Propaganda Group, which has been preaching on the plateau, breaking into the desert and going overseas in the past 10 years, with a total of 629 lectures and an audience of nearly 2 million people."
