In China's modern history, the Guangxu Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Ai Xinjueluo Zaixiang, was undoubtedly the most regrettable emperor. This wise prince who grew up in the imperial family should have completed his life as a "fuguo duke", but he was mistakenly pushed to the throne of the Qing Dynasty by mistake, and from then on he stepped into a situation of eternal disaster. After the failure of the Hundred Days Restoration, Zai Xiang, as the nominal leader of the reform, was hostile and put under house arrest by empress dowager Yehenara of Cixi, and finally died at the Yingtai Hanyuan Hall with infinite remorse on November 14, 1908, the 34th year of Guangxu (1908 AD), at the age of 38.
The tragic story of the Guangxu Emperor Zai Xiang reflects the dangers of the feudal era, and also shows the high risk of the emperor's profession. In fact, the emperors in history are not as graceful and luxurious as people think today, and the emperors who can really control authority and wealth are limited to Qin Shi Huang, Emperor Wu of Han, Tang Taizong, Ming Taizu and other heroes, while other emperors are more trapped in various forces and end in endless checks and balances. If the emperor is weak, they will not escape the miserable fate of becoming a puppet of the powerful. There is no doubt that the Joseon Dynasty, which was deeply influenced by Chinese culture, also gave birth to such a figure, and this person was Jeongjong Lee Khun.

Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (Dezong) – Ai XinJue Luo Zai Xiang
Empress Dowager Cixi of the Qing Dynasty, yehenara clan
Among the 27 monarchs of the Joseon Dynasty, Jeongjong Lee Eng is a very special existence, because he is the only monarch who has suffered many times, and he is also the most tragic and lamentable. Compared with Duanzong Li Hongwei being seized the throne by his uncle, Yanshan Jun Li Hun losing his mother at an early age, Guanghai Jun Li Hun being killed anyway, and Zhengzu Li Hun losing his father at an early age, etc., Zhezong Li Fu was more like a marionette, as if the word "puppet" was tailored for him, and he could not find freedom until he died. This issue will quote authoritative historical materials, through a series of dialectical comparisons, to tell you in detail about the history of the Joseon Dynasty, Jeongjong King Lee Fu, and deeply interpret the bumpy life of the woodcutter Tianzi.
According to the Records of the Joseon Dynasty, Jeongjong Young-hyo-dae, Jeongjong Lee Eng, whose original name was Li Won-fan, was born on June 17, 1831, in the eleventh year of Daoguang (1831 AD). His father was Li Yan, the Prince of Quanxi, and his mother was The Grand Lady of Longcheng Province, Lian Shi, who was the younger son of the family. According to common sense, the birth of a child should have been a congratulatory thing, but in the eyes of Li Yuanfan and his wife, Li Yuanfan's fall to the ground is a bit ironic, after all, being born in the "House of the Reverse Thief" is not a glorious thing, which seems to indicate Li Yuanfan's future hardships and difficulties.
Jeonyeon's third son, Deok Wanjun and Jeongjong The Great Prince of Jeongjong – Lee Fu (Kim Jong-hyun)
The second son of Yingzu Li Fu, the biological father of Zhengzu Li Qi, the great-grandfather of Emperor Zhezong Li Fu, and the son of Si Mourning - Li Yan (Liu Yaren)
As mentioned above, Li Yuanfan's biological father was Li Yan, the prince of the Jeongye Grand Courtyard who was subordinate to the royal family, and Li Yuan's father was the eldest son of The Famous Si Mourning Son of Li Yu in the history of the Joseon Dynasty. When Li Huan was imprisoned by Li Fu, the Great King of Yingzu, in the rice cabinet of the Tongming Temple, and starved to death, the Shizi family fell into a predicament, and even Wang Shisun Li Qi was almost secretly calculated, not to mention Li Qi, the Enyan Jun. Perhaps it is the inheritance of a bumpy fate, enyanjun Li Yi was gradually forgotten by the people around him after the tragic death of his father, so that he was mentally confused and confused. On February 1, 1771, in the thirty-sixth year of Qianlong (1771 AD), because Huang Jinglong, the head of the Dragon Copper Palace, falsely accused Enyan jun Li Ji of bribery and extravagance in front of Yingzu, Yingzu, who had always advocated the way of frugality, became furious, believing that Enyan Jun Li Qi despised him, so he sent him to Aya prefecture. Three years later, the aggrieved EnyanJun Li Was granted amnesty and the official was reinstated and returned to Hanyang.
Records of the Joseon Dynasty, Records of King Yingzong Hyeon-hyoda
On the royal Jianming Gate, pro-Feng Jinglong and so on. Shang asked Yu Jinglong, and Jinglong offered: "Now to the realm of death, when you tell the truth." Hong Fengzhao summoned his vassals and made him accompany him to the throne, and in February of the year of Ding Hai, he was worse than Li Xinglu's hand, and Xinglu was the closest to Enyan Junyi. ”
I thought that the "case of defending the false accusations" was over, and that I could live a plain life in the future, but as a result, the house leaked in the overnight rain, and after Li Qi, the great king of Zhengzu, took the throne, Hong Guorong, who had been an ally and favorite minister, began to threaten zhengzu's throne, so the latter seized the opportunity to kick Hong Guorong out of the royal court with his fierce political skills and completely eliminate the opposition party. The fall of Hong Guorong meant that the kingship of Zhengzu Li Qi was consolidated, and the chaotic imperial program was rectified, but it indirectly implicated Li Guorong (Hong Guorong falsely accused him of participating in rebellion).
The second grandson of Yingzu Li Fu, the second son of Li Fu of the Si Mourning Dynasty, and the grand prince of Zhengzu - Li Zuo (Su Zhixie)
The symbol of the supreme power of the Joseon Dynasty, the throne of Gyeongbokgung Palace
Throughout the ages, ruthlessness is the most imperial family, about Enyan Jun Li Ji has not really participated in the rebellion? Zhengzu Li Qi did not ask too many questions, nor did he want to investigate too much, but adhered to the principle of "preferring to kill a thousand by mistake, never let go of one", quickly cut through the chaos, exiled his own brothers to Ganghwa Island, and also sent a secret imperial history to closely monitor it. Enyan Jun Li Qi's departure was exactly 44 years, during which the eldest son and Fengjun (later posthumously awarded the title of "Changxi Jun") Li Zhan unfortunately died violently, and he himself suffered the aftermath of the "Xin You's Evil Prison", and on May 29 of the sixth year of Jiaqing (1801 AD), he was killed by the newly enthroned Chunzu King Li Jie at the age of 46, on the grounds that "plotting to plot and plotting, to the point of demonization", Chunzu only suspected that he was plotting to rebel and killed the killer, which was really speechless.
After the death of Eun Yanjun Li, his family was not forgiven. On the contrary, the situation of the people became more and more sinister, and some people in the royal court continued to petition The Pure Ancestor to thoroughly investigate the Enyanjun clan and strengthen the punishment. However, Pure Ancestor Li Wei did not want to make a big deal out of it, and seeing that the first conspirator Li Wei was dead, he continued to hold on to them and did not let them be easily accused of being "killing the royal family", so he decided not to pursue it any further and rejected the minister's resignation. In this way, the only two remaining sons of Enyanjun Li, Fengxijun Li Yao and Quanxijun Li Yan, had been living on Ganghwa Island, living a bitter life of chopping wood and hunting and getting up early and greedy every day, until the tenth year of Daoguang (1830 AD), when the Enyanjun clan was pardoned and returned to Hanyang, which had been separated for a long time. On June 17 of the following year, the Lian clan gave birth to Li Yuanfan, the younger son of Li Yuanfan, the Prince of Quanxi.
By combining the two historical materials of "Records of Emperor Zhezong Yingxiao" and "Diary of the ChengzhengYuan", it is not difficult to find that Li Yuanfan in his early years was not a stupid person, he was able to read through the "Thousand Character Text" at the age of 4, and the writing was also very neat, and even showed signs of self-creation calligraphy. If he successfully completes his studies, Li Yuanfan will definitely become a well-educated person. However, the fate of the bumps was already predestined, and Heaven did not want him to live too comfortably. On November 13, the fourteenth year of Daoguang (1834 AD), Li Wei, the Great King of Chunzu, died at the Huixiang Hall of Qingxi Palace, reigned for 34 years, at the age of 45, and was buried in Renling, Jiaohe County. The only concubine of Xiao Mingshi 's son Li Xu (Chunzu's only son), Li Wei, followed the example of his grandfather (Zhengzu) Li Qi, and ascended the throne at Chongzheng Gate as Wang Shisun, which was the prelude to the end of the Korean Dynasty.
The eldest son of Li Wei (李玜), the son of Emperor Xiaoming (Yizong), Li Xuan ( Li Yi )
The original match of Xiao Ming's son Li Xuan, the mother of Emperor Xianzong Li Wei, and the queen of Shenzhen - Zhao Shi (Zhao Yanxi)
After Emperor Xianzong ascended the throne, the original consort of Emperor Xiaoming's son Li Yi (posthumously honored as "Yizong"), the Empress Dowager Zhao of Shenzhen, gradually controlled the internal and external affairs of the royal court, and the authority of the foreign relatives Fengyang Zhao clan soared, and the rule of the Li clan became more and more weakened. This period is called "power politics" by Korean historians. Perhaps because of the incompetence of the monarch and the dictatorship of foreign relatives, some careerists were eager to move, and they hoped to establish a new king on the throne, so as to realize their political ambitions. With such a mentality in mind, the new party, represented by Min Jinyong, Li Yuande, Li Zhongxie, Cui Yingxi, and others, targeted the candidates for the new monarch against Li Ming, the eldest son of Quanxi Jun, Li Ming, the Prince of Huaiping, and planned to raise an army to kill Emperor Xianzong. Who knew that the coup operation missed the wind, and the new party was quickly captured on the spot by heavily armed soldiers. After some severe torture, the rebels were executed by Ling Chi outside the west gate of Hanyang City, and a farce came to an end.
The coup was suppressed, and pitifully, the Quanxijun family once again became the back pot warriors, Huaipingjun Li Ming was given death by Emperor Xianzong, and the rest were exiled to Qiaotong Island. More than ten days later, the hated Xianzong Li Wei drove them to Ganghwa Island overnight, and the scale of imprisonment was even greater than before, with the intention of exterminating them, and Li Yuanfan was only 14 years old at this time. Imagine how cruel it is for a child to suddenly suffer a double blow, both mentally and physically during the golden age of growth and development! According to legend, the crowd encountered a storm in the process of crossing the sea, and the boat almost capsized, but Li Yuanfan was calm and self-assured, so that the boatman sighed: "There is a blessing in this boat!" For Li Yuanfan's calmness, instead of praising him for being loved by the Mandate of Heaven, it is better to say that he has long been accustomed to the torture of fate and has not had a few good days since he was born.

At the age of fourteen, he was in distress at home, the whole family migrated to QiaoTong, swirled and moved to Jianghua, and the wind was in danger of wading into the ocean, Wang Yanran was helpless, comforting his family.
Young Li Yuanfan lived on Ganghwa Island for 4 years, during which time no one cared about his life or death, including his mother Lian Shi, his close relatives left him very early, only the whistling sea breeze, swaying trees, and fragrant wildflowers accompanied him through countless sleepless nights. Although you are a royal family relative, Li Yuanfan is no different from ordinary people, cutting firewood and making fires by himself, catching prey with his own bow and arrow, not eating enough, not warming clothing is a common thing, but also always beware of the difficulties of garrison officials. If he falls off a cliff one day, I believe that no one will come to save him, after all, who cares about a fallen prince? Fall to your death and you deserve it! The bumpy years on Ganghwa Island left a deep psychological shadow on Li Yuanfan, which affected his series of future political initiatives.

The epitome of two major foreign cliques in modern Korea, Queen Chunwon Kim (left) and Queen Seongjeong Cho (right)
Just as Li Yuanfan was blowing the wind at the seashore, at noon on June 6, the twenty-ninth year of Daoguang (1849 AD), the ill Emperor Xianzong Li Wei died in the Chung hee Hall of Changdeokgung Palace, reigning for 15 years at the age of 22, pushing the Joseon Dynasty to the forefront. During his lifetime, Emperor Xianzong had 3 women, namely Queen Xiaoxian of the Jin clan, Queen Xiaoding of the Hong clan, and gongren Jin, except for the gongren Jin who bore him a daughter, the other two were childless, and the only daughter died prematurely. The heirless monarch inheriting the unification was a taboo in the feudal era. However, the country cannot be without a monarch for a day, so who should inherit the throne? Suddenly, the whole royal court was full of discussion, and the ministers were all ghostly, especially the two major foreign relatives of the Anton Kim clan and the Fengyang Zhao clan, which were particularly conspicuous, and each of them wanted to establish their own heirs so as to continue to monopolize the imperial program.
Emperor Xianzong's mother, Empress Dowager Shenzhen of the Zhao clan, was from the Fengyang family, and in order to continue to maintain the power of the family, she joined forces with her own officials and advocated that Li Xiaquan, the heir of Li Xiaquan, the prince of the Dexing grand court, be succeeded to the throne. The proposal of the Zhao clan of Fengyang was very clear, since Emperor Xianzong had no heirs, it was natural to select princes from the bloodline of the previous kings, and the Dexing Grand Prince was the biological father of Li Fu, the great king of Xuanzu, and the sixth son of Li Yi, the king of Zhongzong, with a unique family background, and should take his heirs as a reference object.

Lineage chart of Yingzu Li Fang
However, the Andong Kim clan, headed by Queen Chunyuan, objected, believing that even if the son of the Dexing Grand Prince had been the monarch, the blood relationship was too long, and it was impossible to convince the public by turning over old accounts, and they should adhere to the principle of "establishing a concubine and establishing a long time" and selecting the nearest concubine candidate from the Ancestral Lineage. Soon, Queen Chunyuan of the Kim clan took a crush on the heir of Enyan Jun, Li Qi, and sent her ministers to Ganghwa Island to welcome Li Yuanfan into the palace to inherit the throne on the grounds that "Emperor Yingzong's bloodline, only Emperor Xianzong and Wang (Jejong) were entrusted by the clan society".
The main reason why Queen Chunyuan looks at the humble Li Yuanfan is that he has no political background and has a very convincing blood relationship, which is an excellent puppet candidate. In this way, no matter how dissatisfied the Zhao clan of Fengyang is, it will not help, and the rise of the Anton Kim clan will be unstoppable. When the ushers arrived at Ganghwa Island, Li Yuanfan was terrified, thinking that Wang Ting wanted to persecute him again, so he closed the door of the room to show his refusal. Zheng Yuanrong, the judge in charge of the reception, smiled bitterly and had to persuade each other to explain his intentions to the other party, so Li Yuanfan followed his brother Li Sheng and his brother Li Yu (later "Yongping Jun") out of the door, knelt down to receive the will of the great princess Yi, and then boarded the colorful dragon dragon, surrounded by everyone, was welcomed back to Gyeongbokgung Palace, was awarded the title of "Deguan jun", and on June 9 of the same year, he took the throne at the Injeong Gate, changed his name to Li Fu, and became the twenty-fifth monarch of the Joseon Dynasty.
"Diary of the Imperial Household: The First Year of Emperor Zhezong"
On the ninth day of the first month of June, the Great King and the Grand Concubine Hall ordered the ministers to undertake the will to welcome the king at Jianghua Mansion. On the seventh day of the first month, he accompanied him to jianghua mansion. Yuan Rong said in a polite manner: "The color has arrived, please go out and greet you." "The king went out from his brother Sheng and Brother Yu.
Taking over the throne as a fallen woodcutter on Ganghwa Island, Li Fu realized the legend of the ugly duckling transforming into a white swan, and the glory and wealth in front of him overwhelmed him. How could this precocious prince not have imagined that the winged crown that countless descendants of the clan had been thinking about day and night had finally smashed on his head, could it be that the sun had come out of the west? However, before he could be happy for too long, Li Fu, who was sitting on the dragon chair, soon found that his hands and feet were tied to ropes, and there was no freedom to speak of, and the person who played the role of the manipulator was the Chunyuan Queen Kim and his foreign relatives who had originally supported Jejong. What is even more sad is that two years later, Kim Boon-geun, who was then the same deputy, sent his daughter to the palace to participate in the election, in an attempt to completely control Jeongjong Lee Fu from inside and outside for Queen Jeong- in. At this time, Zhezong truly woke up to how pale and powerless this white swan of his own was.

In the miscellaneous conversations of hundreds of families in later generations, many people like to portray Li Fu of Zhezong as a dimwitted monarch who ignores the lives of the people and indulges in wine all day long. However, in chengzhi's view, such remarks are biased and carry a strong subjective consciousness. In fact, at the beginning of The reign of Emperor Zhezong, Li Fu, wanted to do something very much, just as he used the pretext of "Don't Try to Be a Man Chen" to solemnly discipline the field of science, and after the Lingnan Flood, he allocated "two thousand taels of platinum, two thousand catties of Danmu, and two hundred catties of pepper" to help the people, revise the criminal law to crack down on corruption, and so on. These behaviors are enough to prove that Choljong is not a dimwitted king, indicating that he is indeed trying to run, hoping to change the dirty Korean society, not as negative as later generations have evaluated.
The activity of Jeongjong Lee Fu made the Hidden Anton Kim group feel bad, especially the Chunyuan Queen Kim, a woman with a strong desire for power who could not tolerate putting the cart before the horse. In order to achieve the goal of controlling the royal court, she high-profile preached the way of kingship, put on the shackles of "people do not study, are ignorant of ancient affairs, and cannot govern the country", asked him to participate in more sutra tests, and assigned ministers to take turns to teach him, which was equivalent to forcibly stipulating Zhezong's daily routine and rest to prevent him from being familiar with government affairs. In addition, for the following performances, no matter how big or small the political affairs, Zhezong must hand over to Queen Chunyuan for review before it can be implemented, otherwise it is an invalid government decree, and the shamelessness of his behavior is difficult to express, and the word "puppet" is almost written on Zhezong's face.
At that time, the great king and the concubine used the national code and hung the curtain to listen to the government. Wang Ju was silent, and everything was decided.
The ruthless manipulation of Queen Chunyuan and the Kim clique left Jeongjong Lee Eng with no choice. On the one hand, he has no soldiers and no power in his hands and lacks strong political support; on the other hand, he is not a political material himself, and he lacks enough courage and boldness. Just as the so-called "do not erupt in silence, just die in silence", watching the beautiful ideals being ruthlessly destroyed, but he was powerless on the side, Zhezong Li Fu became more and more disheartened, especially after the early death of the yuan son born by Queen Zheren, the sad and overly sad Zhezong saw through the cold earthly world, began to break the jar and break, degenerate, Buddhist, and wave-shaped skeletons, lingering under the pomegranate skirt of women, completely releasing himself.
The original match of Chunzu Li Wei, the mother of Li Xuan, the son of Xiaoming Shizi, and the queen of Chunyuan - Jin Shi (Pei Zongyu)
Under the control of Queen Chunyuan and the Andong Kim clique, Jeongjong Lee Fu became a puppet at the mercy of others, with no freedom to speak of
Jeongjong Lee's demoralization further fueled the arrogance and ambition of the Anton Kim clan. Because of the power in their hands, the Anton Kim clan wantonly cultivated party henchmen inside and outside the royal court, and the subordinate officials were corrupt and bribe-taking, colluding with each other, and covering the sky with one hand, making the country a miasma. At this time, the Qing Dynasty, which entered the Guanguan Dynasty in 1644 AD, has long been in the twilight of the western mountains, with frequent invasions by European and American imperialist powers outside, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement and the Twist army uprising inside, and the entire Land of China is full of smoke and smoke, and the people are not happy.
News of the turmoil in the suzerainty inevitably spread to the Korean Peninsula and once caused panic among the people. According to the "Diary of the Chengzheng Yuan, The Twelve Years of Jeongjong", there was a dialogue between Jezong Li Fu and Du Ti Tun Park Hanshou, during which Zhezong mentioned that "hearing the recent people's commotion, there are many people who have fallen into the countryside, and they do not know their truth, and if there are courtiers, then this minister who betrays the country does not want to establish a dynasty" and is very worried about the panic situation in the country, and Park Hanshou responds to Zhezong's worries with "double harassment and flurry of words after the incident in Beijing." It can be seen that the British and French coalition forces captured Beijing and burned the Yuanmingyuan, which indeed brought uneasiness to the Koreans.
In the face of the complicated situation at home and abroad, Zhezong Li Fu failed to properly handle it and was unable to deal with it effectively, and the Andong Kim clan, which controlled real power, was lawless, resulting in the rapid spread of panic among the people. You know, once a person is nervous, he is prone to rush to the doctor. Choe Ji-woo, a merchant in Gyeongju, was extremely resentful of Wang Ting's inaction, and at the same time felt that Western religions were disintegrating the cultural foundation of the Korean nation, so he created his own text and opened an altar to preach, called "DongxueJiao", and put up the banner of "those who believe in our religion, disasters can be avoided, and eternal life can be obtained", calling on the Korean people to rise up and resist. Suddenly, the number of believers increased geometrically, and the contingent of Eastern scholars continued to grow.
Records of the Joseon Dynasty: Records of Emperor Gojong Jeong-hyo-tae
The ancient Fu people's disturbance is the beginning of the so-called Dongxue Party riots. In the beginning, Choi Ji-woo, a native of Gyeongju Migu-myeon Yongtan, whose young name was Fushu and Wassei Shui Xuezhai was born in Chunzu Kashin, who sold kapok as a business and traveled between Gyeongju and Ulsan. One day is called the sincere sacrifice to the heavens, entrusted by God. It is called its teachings of Eastern Learning, and Gai is also for Western Religion.
The rise of The Eastern Learning Sect made Emperor Zhezong's heart flutter, because the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement that broke out in the Qing Dynasty had not yet subsided, and now there were also "chaotic courtiers and thieves" in his own acres and three-quarters of land, which was absolutely not allowed. In order to strangle the Dongxue Sect in its cradle, Zhezong immediately declared the Dongxue Sect a cult, strictly prohibited any acts of missionary or religious belief, and ordered all the prefectures, counties, and counties to make every effort to search for Cui Jiyu. Soon, Choe Ji-woo was arrested and brought to justice by the officers and soldiers, but Wang Ting's arbitrary behavior towards Dong Xuejiao intensified the strong dissatisfaction of the Korean people, and the antagonism between the government and the people became increasingly acute. Especially after the outbreak of the large-scale plague, which directly intensified the resentment of the Korean people, the circulation of the banned book "Zheng Jianlu" became a true portrayal of the social unrest in this period.
Li Fu, who knew that the country was poor and weak, but he was powerless
Although he dropped out of school in his early years, Zhezong Li Fu improved his knowledge through the efforts of the day after tomorrow, and the Zhongzhai Manuscript is a typical work he left behind
Political corruption, natural and man-made disasters, and harassment by foreign enemies, the Joseon Dynasty is like a dilapidated ship, step by step into the abyss of destruction. At the beginning of the first year of Tongzhi (1862 AD), the Korean people, who could no longer tolerate the chaos of the government, rose up, and the great peasant revolt broke out in Jeolla Province, Gyeongsang Province, and Chungcheong Province (also known as the "Three Souths of Korea"), known in history as the "Nongju Civil Unrest", and the southern part of Korea was covered with wolf smoke. The angry rebel army invaded the Daoshou mansion, killed corrupt officials, opened granaries, and provided relief to the hungry, and grew rapidly like a snowball, and the situation was extremely critical. As for the riots of the people of Sannan, Jezong Li Fu knew very well what was going on, otherwise he would not have said the words "the people are inherently hateful, and those who are Fang Bo cannot give a heart of love and compassion", and the "Fang Bo" refers to the Andong Kim group.
Sneering is sneering, but civil unrest always has to be dealt with. Under the planning of the Andong Kim clan, Jeongjong dispatched elite soldiers to the south to quell the rebellion, and it took a long time to restore order to the southern states and counties. The anger of the people of Sannan made Zhezong Li Fu experience the great power of the masses for the first time, leaving him with unforgettable memories. In order to prevent such incidents from happening, on May 26 of the same year, Jeongjong promulgated a decree allocating 50,000 taels of internal funds, with Jeong Won-yong, Kim Heung-geun, Kim Zuo-geun, and Cho Doo-soon as the officials, and formally established the "Rectification Hall", hoping to reverse the phenomenon of the three political disorders of the North Korean authorities. The reform of the three political policies can be called the last attempt of Li Fu, who has been sinking for a long time. Since then, Zhezong has not had any enthusiasm.
With the disorder of the government and the government of the government and the government, all the sick people, set up a whole hall, Linxuan personally asked the three policies to save the malpractice, the order was given for the right supply plus the name, and the internal money was specially allocated fifty thousand taels, for the sake of rectification, the cost of the program was completed, and the old one was not salty, and the addition and deletion were slightly added and deleted.
On December 8, 1863, the second year of Tongzhi (1863 AD), Li Fu, the emperor of Zhezong, who had suffered many hardships, died in the Great Hall of Changdeokgung Palace, reigned for 14 years, at the age of 33, and was buried in Ruiling on April 7 of the following year, ending a life full of bitterness and twists. Before his death, he sent someone to send the Chuanguo Jade Seal to the bedchamber of the Queen of Shenzhen, and ordered the forbidden army of the palace to increase its manpower, hoping to have a sense of security when he breathed, which was really unbearable to look at.
The life of Jeongjong Lee Eng was full of tragedy and was also the epitome of the faltering end times of the entire Joseon Dynasty. As a prince, although he tried to change the status quo, he was unable to get out of the predicament in the end, and could only survive in the quest for perfection. Perhaps many people will think that he is spineless, calling him cowardly, incompetent, garbage, and not worthy of being a man at all. But when you and I comment on others, have you ever thought about it in a different way? History has no ifs, and the joys and sorrows are all in the unspoken. By telling the life story of Jeongjong Li Fu, I hope to bring you a little inspiration, which is the last thing Chengzhi wants to say.
