Netflix animation is not only Horse Man and Love Death, the strong hand outside of Disney, it is being swept away. Netflix will work with major animation companies around the world to launch 30 new works with different styles. In contrast to these, Love, Death and Robots is like a half-proposition essay to select new animation partners.
On March 20, Disney announced the official completion of its acquisition of Fox (Disney's $71 billion abacus: the acquisition of Fox officially went into effect, making up for the shortcomings of adult content and channels).
A large part of Disney's heavy acquisition is to win the channel war for streaming. After years of preparation, Disney has created its own streaming troika: ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+, and it's trying to build a Netflix of its own.
Disney's weapons in addition to their own family content with Pixar, the superhero IP acquired from Marvel, Star Wars bought from Lucasfilm, plus Fox's heavy flavor content--- these are not enough.
In order to defeat Netflix and eliminate troubles, Disney even began to recruit executives directly from Netflix to build its own streaming business. For example, Tehmina Jaffer, who was originally responsible for the self-made content strategy such as Netflix's "Narcos", recently jumped to Disney as a senior vice president, responsible for Disney+.
Netflix is not idle, in addition to poaching people from Disney to fight back, it is also cooperating with various powerful people outside the Disney camp, hoping to produce high-quality content that can compete with many strong IP in Disney's hands.
In the field of animation, Netflix's partners include DreamWorks Animation, Hasbro, Nickelodeon, Warner, and major Japanese first-line animation companies. As Disney's own streaming launch approaching, Netflix's home-made space has accelerated significantly, with 30 known animations coming online and planned at the beginning of the year. "Love, Death and Robots," co-produced by "Fight Club" director David Finch and "Deadpool" director Tim Miller, is one of them.

30 new Netflix animations
