Passenger car maintenance warehouse refers to the place where passenger trains are inspected, repaired and prepared, mainly handling passenger train washing, cleaning, technical inspection, adaptation, repair, disinfection, preparation of bedding and meals, and standby car stay. After the passenger train runs to the terminal station, it needs to be stored for maintenance and maintenance before it can be put into use again.

The Yining bus maintenance depot of Urumqi Depot covers a total area of 28,300 square meters, and there are 4 maintenance lines for buses with trenches in the garage, 3 maintenance lines for buses without ditches outside the garage, 2 backup car storage lines, and 4 double-line pusu bus repair depots.
This depot has been put into use for 4 years, with 152 employees and a three-shift operation. In mid-autumn, the "autumn tiger" is still threatening, the train is in a "power outage" state when it enters the warehouse for maintenance, and the temperature in the car rises rapidly.
Every day, 30 inspectors in each shift carry out maintenance operations at the same time, with an average of 89 buses per day. In the "sauna"-like carriage, they focused on the fine inspection and repair of the train walking part and electrical equipment, and inspected the hidden parts of the train, the function of facilities and equipment, etc., to ensure that the train had zero failure.
When the train preparation work is completed, the full-time quality inspectors in the maintenance depot will also re-inspect the quality of the car physical examination and repair to ensure that the train is safe and excellent.
How do trains get in and out of the bus depot?
In the railway industry, the person responsible for completing the work of train marshalling, dismantling, braking, etc. is called the linker, and the shunting group is the smallest operation unit in which several connectors work together to complete a batch of shunting operation plans.
Taking Yining Station as an example, after the K9720 train arrives here, the locomotive and the carriage are separated and driven away first, and the shunting team pulls the carriage to the passenger car depot.
Before departure, the shunting team then pulls the carriage out and pushes it to the designated stock lane to meet the locomotive.
The second adjustment of the yining station operation team consists of 3 linkers, who go back and forth between the bus to the hair line and the bus depot to carry out the disassembly and transfer operation.
The transfer of passenger cars involves high platform operations, and it is also related to the personal safety of passengers, and care must be taken during operations. The linker, Tu Dongwen, has been on the road for 6 years and knows the importance of implementing operational standards. In this batch of shunting operation plans, he and two colleagues used walkie-talkies in the designated location to control the operation.
It takes ten minutes for the depot to go from beginning to end, and a round trip is more than one kilometer, and the connector goes to the operation site in advance to wait for instructions to ensure the safe and rapid completion of the unwinding of the whole train. At the end of each train's towing work, their uniforms were soaked with sweat.
Why is the body of the same train long and short?
