On October 12, Mr. Xiang (pseudonym), a citizen of Shenzhen, reported to the Nandu reporter that at about 17:30 today, he suddenly heard a loud noise in his home, opened the window and saw that the sidewalk near the Republic Garden collapsed, and some shared bicycles and motorcycles fell into the pit. Six or seven minutes after the incident, the fire department dispatched five fire trucks to the scene for disposal.
At about 19:30, Nandu reporters saw at the scene that the collapse location and a lane near the collapse position of the East Ring Road were already in a closed state, and the construction personnel were sawing down the trees next to the collapsed position, and then the vehicles that fell into the pit were hoisted out.
Nandu reporter learned from the scene that as of 20:40, the on-site disposal personnel have basically completed the emergency disposal work, the water department is investigating the scene, investigating the cause of the collapse, and deploying backfilling work, it is expected that the backfill will be completed on the night of October 12 and the sidewalk will be restored.
A takeaway brother told nandu reporter that there was originally a convenient charging pile at the collapse, at more than 4 p.m. today, he and a colleague parked the motorcycle at the location of the incident, and at about 6 p.m. they received a notice that the ground collapsed at the parking location, and about 2 electric vehicles fell into the pit.

After receiving the report, the District Water Bureau, Longhua Drainage Co., Ltd., Longhua Street and other departments immediately rushed to the scene to deal with it, no personnel were injured at the scene, and the scope of collapse was blocked for the first time. The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
The staff of the Shenzhen Longhua District Water Bureau told the Nandu reporter that at about 17:30 today, a road collapse incident did occur near the Gonghe Garden on the East Ring Road, and there were no casualties at the scene.
