Literature/learning is the treasure of the body
Nuns, female practitioners of Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Anglican churches, and Lutheran religions, are usually required to make three vows (i.e., "absolute wealth", "absolute beauty", and "absolute will"), engage in prayer and assist priests in their missions. This is the formal interpretation of nuns online.
In real life, most ordinary people may be like me, thinking that nuns should be quiet and elegant, see through the red dust, ears do not hear things outside the window, and are only praying, but yesterday after watching the movie "Nuns Are Crazy", I changed my opinion of nuns.
The film is an old comedy film, filmed in 1992, about Dilores, a nightclub female second-rate singer, who is chased by a gangster boss for accidentally witnessing a murder, and later, she seeks help from the police to escape the killer's pursuit, and the police arrange her to a nunnery to protect her. Because of the silence and coldness of the convent, the always active Dilauris could not stand it, so she secretly ran out at night to sing and dance. The abbot was worried that something was wrong with her, and arranged her to the choir, and she thought that the choir was very bad, and decided to start a transformation, so when doing Mass (Catholic religious ceremony, meaning gathering, gathering), the choir sang popular songs, the lyrics have been changed to praise God, unexpectedly, this move was warmly welcomed by the faithful, and attracted the Pope to come to appreciate. Later, because of such an innovative move in the convent, it was reported in the news that Dilauris's hiding place was discovered, so she escaped again.

Throughout the film, the most attractive thing is the music, but what struck me even more was that the protagonist, Dilauris, dared to live her courage.
We all know that real people have two sides, even nuns, if they dare to live themselves, they will show the crazy side.
In today's article, I will combine this film to talk about how we live our true selves.
The protagonist of the film, Dilauris, was originally a female singer in a nightclub, living a life of red and green, black and white upside down, to the dull and silent convent, living a day-to-day "prescribed" life, naturally not adaptable, so one night, taking advantage of no one, she ran to the nightclub near the convent to sing and dance.
Unexpectedly, two nuns followed, and when they arrived at the nightclub, they went crazy.
Such a contrasting scene allows us to see that nuns are not only the kind of gentle ladies, but also their hearts are eager for passion and happiness, because that is also their true side.
Real people have two sides.
Introverts also have extroverts; active people also have quiet moments, and this is the real person, the normal person.
From this point of view, we should not blindly and deliberately suppress the side that we think is bad, because sooner or later it will make us collapse.
As another nun in the convent said, "Sometimes you collapse if you don't make yourself back." ”
We all aspire to be ourselves and live out ourselves, but at the same time we long to be recognized by others, which makes us live in contradiction.
Like another nun in the film who sends an alarm clock to the protagonist Dilores, she says that she has a sincere dedication in her heart and is ready to be a nun for the rest of her life, but she immediately realizes that "is this not good, is it a little proud?" ”
It can be seen that she is worried that living her true self will be seen as proud by others, which is not right, so she chooses to suppress her true emotions.
This is also one of the reasons why in real life, many people are afraid to be themselves.
The protagonist of the novel "Silent Confession" Lydia, because she wants to get the approval of her parents too much, and chooses to live for her parents, but every day she does not like the homework, thinking about how to make her parents happy and happy, she knows that she is too tired to live, and finally, when she can't bear this, she chooses to use an extreme way, that is, death to live for herself once.
It can be seen that too much desire to be recognized by others will make us lose ourselves. People who can't live for themselves, even if they live, are "dead" people.
Some people dare not live themselves out because they are worried about the evaluation of the outside world, and some people do not want to take responsibility.
The dean in the film has always followed the original rules and is unwilling to change, even because of the changes brought by Dilauris, she is not willing to carry it forward. She says she's too old-fashioned for anyone to like, and more importantly, she doesn't want to take on the responsibility that change could bring disappointment.
Because in her opinion, the nuns thought the problem too simple, sooner or later they would be disappointed, they would be surprised, and the change would become bad, and she did not want to take such responsibility.
It's like some parents who know that their children's learning to draw, or other things that interest themselves, is good and should be, but they are worried that it will affect the grades and choose to let the children give up, which is not to take the responsibility of the child once the grades are not good.
The problem is that the child's own things should be chosen by the child himself, and more importantly, if they educate the child, the things they choose, they have to bear the results themselves, and the children will not blame the parents.
Like the nuns who longed for change, even if they encountered problems, even if they hurt, they would not complain about the dean's decision to change the status quo.
But those who have some rights, such as parents, or deans, etc., they dare not live their own at the same time, but also influence those who are willing to live their own, which is why many people are difficult to be themselves.
Some people say that we choose to be ourselves, will it be selfish, just like some parents do not want to control their children, but choose to live happily; or we choose to live ourselves, and do whatever we want, or even get carried away, like the perpetrators, and so on, this is of course selfish.
When we say that we live ourselves, the big premise is to abide by discipline and law, not to hurt others; to do what we should do, that is, to do a good job of responsibility and obligation.
First, people who live out their own need courage.
Courage is precious because it can break through the shackles and bring about change.
Just like the nun in the film who did not dare to speak loudly, later with the encouragement and drive of Dilores, not only sang well, but also became much more cheerful, more importantly, at that time, she was happy and happy, because she was doing herself.
Second, people who live out their own lives bring their own light.
In the film, when DiLorice arrives at the convent, change begins. Because a person who dares to live out of himself brings his own light, and such a light is illuminating others.
Some people, need the drive of others, to have the courage to change, from this point of view, more with those who live their own people, which will also affect their own personality and mentality.
It's also important to build a more intimate relationship with someone who dares to live out for themselves.
At the end of the film, the reason why Dilores is rescued is related to the sincere help of the nuns, because sincerity is the key to the depth of feelings. Just like our friends in life, we will have deep feelings, which is related to whether the other party treats us sincerely.
A sincere person is a person who lives his own life.
Third, the meaning of life lies in living oneself.
Some people choose to live carefully and do not want to hurt anyone, but think carefully, such people are hurting their own lives; some people choose to live for themselves, do not influence the thoughts of others, let alone be swayed by the views of others, think carefully about such people, that is called a living person.
Of course, the kind of living method in the back is what each of us is looking forward to.
As Teacher Wu Zhihong said, "The fundamental driving force of our lives is to become ourselves." ”
According to the humanistic psychologist Rogers, he is the sum of all one's past life experiences. If these life experiences are the result of our passive participation, or acting according to the will of others, then we feel that we are not being ourselves. Conversely, if these life experiences are the result of our active participation, our own choices, then whether the life experience is happy or sad, we will feel like we are being ourselves.
In the end, live your true self and dare to choose your own way of life. Just like Dilloris, even a nun, dared to go crazy.
