At a regular press conference held by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council on the same day, a reporter pointed out that Taiwan's agricultural department claimed that only 13 circulars had been received regarding the unqualified pineapples in the Taiwan region, and that the mainland had not provided scientific evidence for the found pests of pineapples. Zhu Fenglian responded that in 2020, the mainland informed the Taiwan side in writing of the unqualified situation of 28 batches of pineapples, of which 14 batches of sarsaparilla black round shield clams were detected, 8 batches of ocean gluteal powdery beetles were detected, and 6 batches of new pineapple ash mealybugs were detected.

Zhu Fenglian said: It is not at all surprising that the DPP authorities have consistently smeared and attacked the "22 Measures for Agriculture and Forestry." Their consistent logic is that every time the mainland introduces something that is beneficial to the Taiwan compatriots, they oppose it all; they do everything that is beneficial to the interests and well-being of the Taiwan compatriots.
She pointed out that the DPP authorities are mainly worried that the vast number of Taiwan compatriots will gain tangible benefits from the development opportunities of the mainland of the motherland. It is necessary to see through their political nature and deceptive tactics, and then resist their attempt to create cross-strait confrontation.
