Siberian sled dogs are commonly nicknamed huskies, nicknamed Erha. It was named after the Eskimos in the colder regions of the North. In Alaska, it was known as the work-sled dog and now the family pet dog.
The Siberian Sled Dog is a primitive and ancient dog breed that lives in northeastern Siberia and southern Greenland. About 3,000 years ago, the Inui people of Siberia used them to guard reindeer and drive their pulled sleighs across the snowy desert. For the Eskimos, every dog had to be carefully selected to meet their needs – herding deer and pulling sleds. Its strength, ability to pull a car, self-confidence, high alertness and endless endurance are all reasons why people admire Siberian sled dogs.
Some believe that their gentle nature is due to the love and affection of various Arctic tribes for this dog. But there are also those who believe that their long independent lives lead to a rough and cruel personality. After all, they only work a third of the year.
The relationship between man, dog and sled can be described as an iron triangle of lips and teeth in the cold north, and they must work together to fight storms, cold and snow. The movie "Minus Octaves", released in 2006, is a good illustration of this relationship. The film tells the story of a team of three scientists who embark on an Antarctic expedition in search of a mysterious meteorite that fell on an Antarctic island. Sled dogs were introduced to North America from Siberia by fur traders in the early 1900s. In 1909, the first team of Siberian sled dogs participated in the "Alaska Crossing Competition", and because of their small size, they were not favored by people and were nicknamed "Siberian Rats". But the following year, they won the Alaska Grand Prix Championship in one fell swoop, and since then, they have been across the arena without any opponents.
The Siberian sledd is a dog breed that is very close to the blood of the wolf, so it is very wolf-like in appearance, medium in size, and covered with fluff all over its body. It has thicker hair than most dog breeds, and the color of the hair is roughly divided into black, gray, brown (light brown is also known as dream color), and pure white (rarely), of course, these colors are usually mixed with white hair at the same time. Husky eyes have pure brown and pure blue, allowing one eye to be brown and one eye blue. The erect ears and whiskers between the toes and fins allow it to move freely on the snow without slipping, and it is better to drag the sled on the snow to carry people or things. Individual differences in height of 20-30 inches and weight of 30-60 pounds are relatively large.
The Siberian Sled Dog is a non-aggressive dog. Energetic, need a certain amount of exercise, not suitable for locking up in one place, otherwise it will become a trickster, many dog owners have a deep understanding.
