According to Taiwan media reports on October 26, a 4-year-old buffalo weighing more than 500 kilograms in Hualien, Taiwan, was attacked by a tiger-headed bee on the road the day before yesterday. After the farmer surnamed Tian found out, he hurriedly took two cans of insecticide and sprayed it on the top of the buffalo, but he still could not stop the tiger-headed bee that poured out of the nest, and watched as the buffalo who was close to his family was stinged to death. The owner of the feed said bitterly: "The buffalo has been stinged at least 100 times!" How pathetic! ”

The owner said that because the cattle were tied by ropes, they could not dodge when attacked by tiger-headed bees, and had fallen on the road when they found it. Farmer Zheng Zhigui said that this road usually has 20 to 30 people coming and going, if it were not for this cow, everyone would not have known that there was a tiger's head honeycomb on this road, and the people had already removed the honeycomb from the tree yesterday.

Farmers surnamed Tian, who are in their 50s, have raised a total of 5 cows, and the bull buffalo killed the day before yesterday has been raised for 4 years and is currently priced at about 50,000 yuan (NT$). At seven o'clock in the morning before yesterday, Tian Nan took five cows to a roadside to graze, the cattle were tied to the tree, the average interval was more than ten meters, ten minutes later riding a motorcycle passed, found the buffalo fell in the middle of the road, "a large group of tiger bees are attacking it", the honeycomb is not far from the road on the tree.

Tian Nan hurriedly rode the locomotive, rushed back to the grocery store to buy two cans of pesticides, and rushed back three minutes later, and he could not care less about protecting the cattle, so he rushed to the buffalo and sprayed insecticide wildly.

Farmer Zheng Zhigui drove a truck past and witnessed, saying that Tian Nan was still unstoppable by spraying insecticides into the sky, cattle and himself. The owner of the cattle sprayed the pesticide and retreated, standing more than a dozen meters away with two other farmers, watching the cattle being stung to death.

After ten minutes of the swarm leaving, thinking of the old man saying "wash it with salt water", everyone helped with seven hands and eight feet, and it was difficult for the buffalo to stand up, but unexpectedly walked hard for more than ten meters but lost his breath.

Veterinarians say that animals, like humans, are also afraid of the toxicity of tiger-headed bees, which are venom proteins that cause autoimmune reactions after bites. If too many bites are taken at a time, it can cause an acute allergic reaction, resulting in shock death.

Veterinarians speculate that when buffalo graze, it happens that the reconnaissance bee of the tiger head bee flies to the cow, and the cow's habit is to use its tail to sweep and pull away, causing the reconnaissance bee to release the attack signal, causing the tiger head bee swarm to attack the nest. There are also microvascular vessels under the skin of buffalo, and bee venom is absorbed into the body. Although adult buffalo weigh 400 to 500 kilograms, as long as the number is large, it will also trigger an immune response, causing acute allergies and shock. (Taiwan Network Gao Xu)
