In early May of the same year, Jiang Minglei and Li Changwei rushed from Fujian to Lin'an District of Hangzhou City, stepping on the targets of the excavation, renting houses in Lin'an District as dens, and purchasing tomb robbery tools. The two men went out day and night, using climbing the wall, tools to dig holes, etc., to steal the tombs of the Wuyue kings and stole a large number of precious cultural relics. Later, through Liu Dan (handled in a separate case) and others, the stolen goods were sold for illegal profits and divided. The stolen cultural relics have been recovered after the incident.
