The ship sails in the strait, as small as a flat leaf boat, holding up the dream of many people returning home. Ye Yikui once again set foot on this familiar homeland. After returning to his hometown, he contacted his relatives and decided to spend his life in the place where he grew up.
On his IDENTITY CARD, it was Ye Yikui, a Resident of Taiwan. However, according to the villagers in his village, the old man still refused to recognize Ye Yikui's identity, saying that his original name was Xie Hanguang. Over time, rumors spread in the village about this man.

Deeply influenced by the new culture, he cherished a passion and thought that he should not only build the motherland and hometown, but also save the motherland and the people. So at that time, he longed for revolution and for the Communists.
During the fourth year of college, Xie Hanguang firmly believed, studied hard, and studied with the ambition of contributing to China's construction. Eventually graduated with honors, he was assigned to work at the Guangxi Provincial Agricultural Experimental Field. Because of his outstanding work performance, he was transferred to Liuzhou Farm of Qiangui Railway as a director.
Xie Hanguang, with enthusiasm, hoped to have more contact with the revolutionary masses and gain edification. Unfortunately, Guangxi was still under the rule of the Kuomintang at that time, and Xie Hanguang could not contact the Communist Party and revolutionary forces at school. After he went to work on the farm, he came into contact with some Communists and revolutionary masses in Liuzhou and Chaoshan neighborhoods.
In Guangxi, which lacks development, the oppression of traditional landlord forces has not faded. People still live in exploitation. Xie Hanguang saw all this in his eyes. He was warm and kind by nature, and he treated people sincerely, and soon integrated into the revolutionary masses. This period of time laid the most basic preparation for Xie Hanguang to establish his ideals in life and strengthen his revolutionary will.
Although he had a pure heart, due to the current situation and the unattainable opportunities, he had never found a way to join the party.
In 1944, the Japanese army launched the Battle of Yuxianggui. Xie Hanguang's place of work has become a battlefield and a sea of fire, and he has also been blackmailed by the Japanese to work for him. In order to survive, he had to flee to Sichuan to find a way out.
The days of coming to Sichuan were not good, without a laboratory, although he could no longer be a researcher, fortunately there was still some knowledge. So with the help of the local party organization, he entered a middle school and became a teacher. After becoming a secondary school teacher, he never forgot his revolutionary ideals.
During those days when he was teaching for a living, he also actively moved closer to the party organization, contacted underground Communist Contact Points, helped the Communist Party deliver intelligence, and spied on the enemy.
After the party's consideration and investigation at all levels, it was held that Xie Hanguang initially had the qualifications to join the party.
This time, Xie Hanguang finally got what he wanted and became a Communist Party member with honor.

After settling down in Sichuan, he also experienced a major event in his life. He found the other half of his life, his wife Zeng Xiuping.
Zeng Xiuping is also a female student who has attended middle school, understands Xie Hanguang's ideals and ambitions, and the two form a happy family. However, only 9 days after his marriage, he received an organizational task - to lurk in Taiwan to carry out underground work.
If you don't protect the country, how can you protect your family? After Receiving the notice, Xie Hanguang immediately packed his bags quickly, said goodbye to his wife and children, and rushed to Taiwan.
When he left, he left only one sentence:
"I'll be back when I'm liberated, and it won't be long."
Zeng Xiuping looked at the back of her husband's departure and knew that he had gone to the battlefield for his ideals and beliefs. She is also a member of the Communist Party, and like her husband, it is her unswerving goal to protect the common communist ideal. So she didn't complain and chose to support her husband.
According to the arrangement of the superiors, Xie Hanguang and another female comrade pretended to be a couple and went to Taiwan to take up a post and entered the lotus pond of the Taiwan Provincial Forestry Experimental Institute. With his own knowledge and effective work, he has successively published articles such as "Forest Stand Investigation and Preliminary Research" in academic journals, and he has successfully lurked down and obtained a good identity to hide.
Later, he was promoted to director because of his excellent work and rich academic achievements. After becoming director, he not only used this position to carry out many underground work, set up contact points, but also arranged for the distribution of work for the organization's personnel sent to Taiwan.
After Xie Hanguang arrived in Taiwan, some party comrades also arrived in Taiwan. Among them are Xie Hanguang's long-time friends Liang Zhengqing and Chen Zhonghao.
Among them, Chen Zhonghao was handed over to Zhong Haodong by Xie Hanguang and lurked as a teacher at Keelung Middle School. It is worth mentioning that Zhang Bozhe, the later secretary of the Taichung Working Committee, was also received by Xie Hanguang at that time, serving as the section chief of the forestry laboratory base, and he later grew into the direct leader of Xie Hanguang.
It can be said that Xie Hanguang's successful lurking has reserved a lot of living force for the development of our party in Taiwan. Without him, many outstanding party talents may have had a more difficult and less secure life.
In the years of underground work in Taiwan, Xie Hanguang, together with many comrades, obtained a lot of important information for the party organization. At that time, it was an important period of the Liberation War, and Xie Hanguang's due diligence and dedication created extremely high value for the mainland of our country.
In 1949, the War of Liberation ended and Chiang Kai-shek retired to Taiwan. At this time, the liberation of the mainland made many Taiwan residents yearn. Everyone thought that in the near future, the Communist Party would also liberate Taiwan. The peaceful reunification of the whole country is just around the corner.
Under such a trend, Chen Zhonghao, Zhong Haodong and others of Keelung Middle School prepared to print a number of propaganda publications, Guangming Bao.
Guangming Bao took the article "Prepare for revolution and greet the liberation of Taiwan" as the essence. More than a dozen Communists inside and outside the school accepted the task of distributing the publication everywhere in order to give the enemy a final blow in the face and usher in the liberation of the island of Taiwan.
And this activity did not expect to involve the "Guangming Case" that shocked the entire island of Taiwan.
The article was extremely influential, and in a short period of time, it swept through the entire island of Taiwan with unexpected speed and scope.
People spontaneously took to the streets and printed revolutionary slogans in the streets and alleys, and word of mouth was spread by word of mouth: "Prepare for the revolution and welcome the liberation of Taiwan." Even Chen Cheng, then Chairman of Taiwan, received newspapers.
Chiang Kai-shek, who had retreated to Taiwan and was preparing to retain his remnants, saw guangming and was furious when he saw Guangming Bao. Immediately ordered: hunt down the founders, arrest the Communists.
For a time, Guangming Bao became a bomb for everyone to endanger themselves, and white terror pervaded the entire island of Taiwan.
Under the pursuit of the Kuomintang, Zhong Haodong, principal of Keelung Middle School, and Cai Xiaoqian, secretary of the Taiwan Working Committee, were eventually arrested. The enemy tortured them and demanded that they confess other lists of Communists.
Zhong Haodong clenched his teeth, held his head high, and vowed to die and refuse to say a word. When he finally walked to the execution ground to be righteous, he also easily hummed his favorite minor tune. His wife was also arrested and imprisoned. The enemy brutally tortured the lady. But she was in the same boat as her husband, vowing to die and refusing to bow to the enemy.
Because Zhong Haodong vowed to die and did not want to defect, the other Communists at Keelung Middle School were not exposed. But Chiang Kai-shek has also ordered a thorough investigation of all teachers. So Chen Zhonghao hurriedly found the leader Zhang Bozhe. Zhang Bozhe told him not to act rashly, showing a hint of flaws. As long as the camouflage is good enough, don't hit the grass to scare the snake, you can save yourself.
Chen Zhonghao did as Zhang Bozhe said, and indeed escaped scrutiny. Then, he did not dare to be at ease with this, and immediately defected to Xie Hanguang and Liang Zhengqing. With their help, Chen Zhonghao disguised himself and fled the island of Taiwan and returned to the mainland. He became one of the few lucky survivors of Xie Hanguang's group of Communist underground workers.
But the matter is far from over.
White terror still hangs over Taiwan. The arrest of Cai Xiaoqian means that our party will face huge risks. Because he was one of the top leaders of Taiwan's underground intelligence center at that time. He had in his possession the information and intelligence of almost all the underground workers lurking in Taiwan. Unexpectedly, he mutinied under the threat and inducement of the enemy.
Cai Xiaoqian's rebellion directly led to the sacrifice of many intelligence officers. The list he provided included many important liaison officers, including Xie Hanguang and Zhang Bozhe. Because of his rebellion, more than 1,800 revolutionaries were implicated.
In 1950, Zhang Bozhe, Liang Zhengqing and others were arrested and honorably sacrificed in Taiwan.
As soon as Xie Hanguang heard the news of Zhang Bozhe's arrest, he immediately reacted and hid himself. According to Cai Xiaoqian's list, Taiwan's military command dispatched considerable manpower and material resources to arrest Xie Hanguang, but none of them traced any whereabouts.
How exactly did he get the news of Zhang Bozhe's arrest? And how did you react so quickly?
According to Xie Hanguang's granddaughter, when his grandfather shared with them the past of escaping the pursuit in his later years, his expression was particularly solemn.
"That day, a stranger sent me a letter. There were 30 yuan in the letter and Zhang Bozhe's payment, asking me to leave the institute immediately. I immediately learned that something had happened to the contact point and that my identity had been exposed. The next day I went to the Zhongpu branch office in Chiayi County to hide. ”
Xie Hanguang's Military Command Bureau could not be found, so it had to be included as an untraceed criminal in the "Bandit East China Bureau's Submarine Organization Liang Zhengqing and Other Rebellion Cases."
After that, there was no word about Xie Hanguang. Xie Hanguang seemed to have evaporated from the human world.

At first, he lied to the peasants in the village that he was a Kuomintang deserter, did not have a household registration, and did not dare to report back to the army, so he could only live here. Fortunately, the people in the village are warm and kind, and the village chief helps him settle down while figuring out how to escape the government's scrutiny. Xie Hanguang also gave the only two gold rings around him to the village chief to repay the village chief's kindness.
And in order to reassure the villagers about him, he also used his agricultural expertise to help increase local agricultural production. With the passage of time, Xie Hanguang's helpful, honest and kind character was seen by everyone. Gradually, it was also accepted by the locals.
But what should he do with his identity? The village can't leave a person without an identity! At this time, someone suddenly thought that there was a villager in the village who had been missing for a long time, Ye Yikui, xie Hanguangneng just replaced his identity. So the village chief led Xie Hanguang and went to apply for Ye Yikui's IDENTITY card and household registration. The people in the village are also tight-lipped about this, and they live with him as Ye Yikui.
At present, there is no need to worry about the pursuit of Taiwan's military unification. However, he could no longer leave the identity of "Ye Yikui" and return to the name of "Xie Hanguang" that truly belonged to him.
The mainland on the other side has also become the hometown of his dreams. After several years of absence, he could only look at the mainland across the strait while working as a farmer. Back to your home in Puzhai Town, Shun County, Guangdong Province. Xie Hanguang and his family hugged each other tightly. He went for 38 years.
His wife had been waiting for him at home, and she had waited for most of her life. Ye Yikui did not expect that when he left home, his wife was already pregnant with her third child. She and their children had been waiting for Xie Hanguang to come home.
