From December 1940, Kurosawa stayed with the troops in Hangzhou Miqiao and other places. He was cruel by nature and took pleasure in killing. The indiscriminate massacre of civilians in the Hangzhou and Shaoxing areas was based on the verdicts of more than a thousand Well-documented Chinese compatriots. On March 17, 1947, he was sentenced to death.
