ESPN reporter Woj reported that multiple sources revealed that the Celtics traded Tristan Thompson to the Hawks in exchange for Chris Dunn, Bruno Fernando and a 2023 second-round pick.
Woj updates the report that kings join the deal and will get Tristan Thompson. The king sent Delon Wright to the Eagles.
Thompson's 2021-22 season annual salary is $9.7 million, Dunn's $5 million and Fernando's $1.8 million, and after the deal, the Celtics freed up $3 million of luxury tax space to prepare for other operations.
Thompson averaged 7.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in 2020-21.
