Kunming, May 16 (Han Shuainan) On the 16th, the "Joint Welcome to the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) Luo Hao's "Top of the World: Tibet Everest Biodiversity Observation Manual" book sharing meeting was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province. The book includes a total of 455 rare species and showcases the main flora and fauna of the Everest region.

"Top of the World: Tibet Everest Biodiversity Observation Manual" (hereinafter referred to as "Top of the World") is the first time in China that the biological community has collected the results of the biodiversity system survey of Rongbugou, Karmagou, Jilong, Yadong and Chona in the core area of the northern slope of the Himalayas, covering a huge drop of 1000 to 6200 meters above sea level. A total of 455 rare species are included in the book, of which 12 are newly recorded in China, including 6 new species of Artemisia green velvet and the Asian jackal that has not been recorded in China before.

In order to fully ensure the authority and scientific nature of "Top of the World", the book also invited Feng Limin, associate professor of the School of Life Sciences of Beijing Normal University, Niu Yang, associate researcher of the Kunming Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Que Pinjia, doctor of zoology, Zhang Weiwei, an entomology expert, and other experts in various fields to carefully review the species classification, morphological description, geographical distribution and pictures in the book.

On the same day, Luo Hao, photographer and editor-in-chief of "Top of the World", shared the wonderful content of "Top of the World" through the documentary of the same name of "Top of the World", rich high-definition pictures and vivid narration, presenting the biodiversity of Mount Everest and the surrounding areas in a vivid way, awakening people's love for the beauty of nature, and resonating with the audience.

In 2010, Luo Hao initiated the establishment of the Tibet Biodiversity Conservation Agency (TBIC), an imaging survey agency dedicated to biodiversity investigation. Since 2010, the team has conducted ongoing biodiversity surveys at various sites on the northern slopes of the Himalayas.

As the founder of the "Tibet Biological Image Conservation" organization, Luo Hao has been committed to introducing photography and video into the environmental ecology protection of Tibet, "Image is a global expression, is a universal language, I want to use this language to tell the story of the biodiversity of the Himalayas in my mind." ”
