The road communication between southern Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu is smoother

A relevant person from the Huishan District Transportation Bureau said that before the north-south roads connecting Wuxi with Jiangyin via Huishan, there were 5 Huishan Avenue, Old Xicheng Road, Huicheng Avenue, Huizhou Avenue, etc., of which only 3 could directly lead to Jiangyin, and the road traffic had long been saturated.
Xinxicheng Road (S342 ~ Beihui Road) is an important part of the 229 Provincial Highway, which is currently open to traffic to the north of Beihui Road, and is connected to Jiangyin Harbor Avenue (Jiangyin Section of 229 Provincial Highway) through Huicheng Avenue, directly to Jiangyin Port. The opening of this road will enhance the collection and transportation function of Jiangyin Port, and make the road communication between southern Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu smoother.
Traffic in Huishan District is smoother

According to the relevant person of the Huishan District Transportation Bureau, the old Xicheng Road is not only the earliest main channel between Xicheng, but also the connecting road connecting Wuxi North Interchange to Shanghai-Nanjing and Xiyi Expressway, and it is also the main distribution channel of several logistics parks in Huishan District.
The road passes through Huishan New Town, along the road there are nearly 20 residential communities that have been built and are under construction, with serious mixed passengers and goods, difficult traffic organization, and very congested during peak hours, which affects the urban image and construction and development of Huishan New Town to a certain extent. The opening of the new Xicheng Road can effectively divert the freight traffic of the old Xicheng Road, laying the foundation for solving the current traffic congestion problem in Huishan New Town.
Old Xicheng Road will be completely closed to trucks
"The old Xicheng Road will be completely banned from trucks, and the new Xicheng Road will replace it as the main freight channel."
