Of course, it is not difficult for us to guess the reasons for this; after all, it is the National Day festival, and some overseas hostile forces are eager to make a move, and it is very likely that they will take advantage of the Fact Day to collude with the "Taiwan independence" forces on the island and make some disgusting things to smash our scene.
On 4 October, Wu Zhaoxie, head of the "foreign affairs department" of the Taiwan authorities and one of the leaders of the "Taiwan independence" forces on the island, complained to the Australian media, rather than the meaning that the United States could not hold its "thighs" and wanted to hug Australia's "calves."
Wu Zhaoxie shouted that if Chinese mainland "invade Taiwan by force," the Taiwan authorities will resolutely resist and call on countries with similar values and concepts represented by Australia to "assist in the defense of Taiwan Island," causing the PLA to suffer huge losses.
He then touted the so-called "Taiwan-Australia bilateral relationship," thanked Australia for its support for the Taiwan authorities' accession to the CPTPP, and proudly declared that they had begun consultations with Australia on the matter.
Wu Chao-sup said that the Taiwan authorities expressed their appreciation for the formation of the AUKUS Defense Alliance by the United States, Britain, and Australia, and were happy to see the current situation of the US-led "four-way dialogue mechanism" becoming increasingly active on security topics, and looked forward to these cooperation frameworks to participate more in Indo-Pacific security issues in the future, and also expected Australia to assume more "security responsibilities" in the Indo-Pacific.
But what is very interesting is that he then stressed that the Taiwan authorities do not seek to possess nuclear-powered military ships.
It is not difficult to see that although they are vigorously praising the United States and the West in order to show their loyalty to the White House, the Taiwan authorities are still very encouraged; they do not believe that they are not prepared to seek "Taiwan independence" by enhancing their own military strength, but instead unilaterally link their own security with the United States Chinese mainland and the West.
It is worth noting that under the recent objective status quo of the United States "asking for me", it has not spoken too much on the Taiwan issue, and more or less has the intention of provoking the Chinese side and causing the dialogue between the two governments to be interrupted; after all, we also put forward the "two lists" and "three red lines" at the Previous Sino-US Tianjin Talks, although the US Government is not willing to evaluate this, it is still forced to make some concessions in action, such as revoking the request for the extradition of Meng Wanzhou, which is explicitly mentioned in the "two lists".
Therefore, it is not difficult to imagine that until the US Government resolves its urgent needs, it is unlikely that they will explicitly oppose China on the Taiwan issue, and they will not dare to create momentum on this issue, otherwise all the diplomatic achievements since the Sino-US Tianjin talks will be in vain.
Under such circumstances, how will Australia support "Taiwan independence"? In the final analysis, their support for "Taiwan independence" is nothing more than looking at the face of the United States, and if Biden does not stand up and mention this file now, they will of course try their best to avoid it.
For example, in response to Wu Zhaoxie's statement in front of the media, the Australian media is indeed very high-profile, they use the term "small independent country" to define the Taiwan authorities, but Canberra still does not respond for the time being, pretending to be deaf and dumb. After all, following the United States, although Washington cannot give them any economic benefits, it does dare to help them build nuclear submarines, and the Taiwan authorities are only incidental to the cost of action, and supporting them is only based on the face of the United States.
However, from the perspective of the United States, they are also very clear about how long they can continue to maintain the status quo in the Taiwan Strait and how long they can protect the "Taiwan independence forces" on the island. The United States is still deeply mired in a power struggle and cannot extricate itself, the US military still cannot obtain enough military spending to serve their strategy toward China, China's military strength is increasing day by day, and the balance of power between the two sides in the Taiwan Strait has irrevocably tilted to China. Today, the "death date" of the "Taiwan independence" elements is getting closer and closer, and now they are still seeking help from the United States and the West driven by their desire to survive, but perhaps in a few years, they will have to consider how to strive for the opportunity to read the letter of repentance in the future.
