Fuel system
The F-16 is equipped with 6 internal fuel tanks (left wing, right wing, rear fuselage, rear fuselage reservoir, front fuselage reservoir). The external fuel tank can be mounted under the fuselage (300 gallons) and under the wings (370 gallons). The total fuel volume is displayed on the fuel indicator. The Fuel Quantity Selector knob is used to select the amount of fuel you wish to display.

TEST: Place both pointers over 2000 lbs and the accumulator should display 6000 lbs
NORM: The AL pointer indicates the remaining fuel in the left rear tank and A-1 fuselage tank, and the FR pointer indicates the total amount of fuel in the right front tank and the F-1 and F-2 fuselage tanks.
RSVR: Move the AF and FR pointers to show the fuel in the rear and front tanks
INT WING: Indicates the number of external fuel tanks installed inside the left and right wings
EXT WING: Indicates the number of external fuel tanks mounted on the outer left and right wings
EXT CTR: Indicates the number of central fuel tanks installed on the outside of the fuselage

A/L (rear and left) pointers
F/R (front/right) pointer
Note: When the knob is selected to set to EXT CTR, it indicates the central tank load
Engine-powered selector switch
Controls how fuel is pumped into the engine. Note that the fuel is fed by gravity to the engine, so the engine will not run out of fuel when the fuel pump is turned off. The use of a pump prevents insufficient fuel during negative G maneuvers and allows for manual balancing of fuel if necessary.
OFF - All fuel pumps are turned off.
NORM - All pumps are turned on and the CG (center of gravity) is automatically held.
AFT-Stern pump open. Fuel is delivered from the rear tank to the engine. The center of gravity moves forward.
FWD- Forward pump on. Fuel is delivered from the front tank to the engine. The CG moves backwards.
BINGO bingo fuel
Bingo fuel volume is the amount of fuel that is returned to the home base plate (home base) as soon as the trigger is reached. It takes into account the fuel required for the return leg of the flight, the fuel required for brief approach to the flight, the fuel for the diversion site (if necessary) and the emergency fuel that should not be used except in an emergency.
Joker clown fuel is usually set above bingo as a warning that BINGO bingo is coming. We usually set it up on 1,000 pounds of bingo to have 1 minute of combat time in the afterburner chamber.
Your BINGO FUEL Bingo Fuel can be set up in the following ways:
1. Press the LIST list button
2. Press "2" on the ICP (Integrated Control Panel) to select the BNGO (Bingo Fuel) DED page.
3. Enter the desired bingo fuel value via the ICP keyboard and press ENTER.
4. Set the FUEL QTY SEL Fuel Quantity Selection Knob to NORM to ensure that bingo fuel warning calculations are based on fuselage fuel.
5. When the fuel status is lower than the bingo fuel limit, a fuel warning will appear on the head-up display (HUD) and the VMS (Voice Information System) will issue an audible prompt of "BINGO Bingo, Bingo".

The increased interest makes LWF a serious acquisition plan. North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway are seeking to replace their F-104G interstellar fighter-bombers. In early 1974, they made a deal with the United States that if the U.S. Air Force ordered a LWF winner, they would also consider ordering it. The U.S. Air Force also needs to replace its F-105 Thor and F-4 Mirage II fighter-bombers. Congress sought greater commonality between the Air Force and the Navy in terms of fighter procurement, and in August 1974 shifted naval funding to a new Naval Air Combat Fighter (NACF) program that would be a navalized fighter-bomber variant of the LWF.
