Quanzhou is a famous historical and cultural city, with a deep accumulation of traditional culture, and Mr. Zhou Kunmin is precisely the darling who has been influenced by traditional culture from the "Seaside Zoulu" plaque of the Quanzhou Confucian Temple. Reading ancient books, learning Nan Fist, listening to Nan Yin, watching Nan Opera, and staying in the ancient house, these ancient elements that have been within reach since childhood have increasingly become the common factors of many of his talents.

Mr. Zhou Kunmin's calligraphy has gone through a long road of decades from the beginning to the final success. His father practiced writing every night and lit a candle until the candle burned out. Zhou Kunmin has been copying and writing in such a family culture atmosphere since he was a child.

Mr. Zhou started with Wang and Zhao, and later Xi Yan and Liu. Lishu Linzhang Qian, Cao Quan and even the Qing Dynasty completed the Baishanren Book. In his youth, he was once quite fond of calligraphy by Guo Moruo and Rodin. In recent years, Dong and He Zhujia have worked hard and diligently, and there are places where they know their hearts. For his calligraphy process, Mr. Zhou Kunmin often laughs at himself with "today's dried beans, tomorrow's vegetables, no specialization in learning, and homelessness". When he was young, the government work was busy, often had to "go to the mountains and go to the countryside", he could only practice intermittently, and later took up a leadership position, and the time for practicing calligraphy was even less, so he always regarded himself as an "amateur of calligraphy", and he was helpless to concentrate on learning calligraphy. Nevertheless, during his tenure as vice mayor of Quanzhou, he also won the first prize in the National Mayor's Calligraphy Competition. In fact, he visited all the homes and turned to many teachers, which is a reflection of the historical inheritance of Quanzhou's unique cultural character of "eclecticism, pioneering and enterprising" for thousands of years.

"The Word of The One"

Be careful

Prologue 1 Zhou Kunmin

Yuko bears the hope of the world with the title of the book. Soldiers are recognized first. Therefore, the Eight Laws are used to discuss Youzi. Judas is measured as a leather language. Partial work is easy, and good is hard to find. Books must have a realm. The spirit of standing is good. And the realm of books. In the realm of man, learn to know it. Yuko's study. Confucian Taoist interpretation. Han Yong is far-sighted. Yang ancient and modern. It is a text. Than a genus word. Purposeful. A few more than the Tao. It is poetry. Gentle and joyful. Gentle and elegant. It's human. Not going to be welcomed. Not inside or out. Even if it is warm. The name is prudent. Lu Yue alone. Nothing to hide. Nothing less. Be careful and careful. Such as the book of Yuko also. Waves. It is sent in the Lingtai. Wen Xiuqingmu. Elegant and elegant. Do not see The Husband. The year of the second year Meng Dong held the festival Zhou Kunmin Shu in The Curse of the People.

"Write a good word, play a good set of punches" is Mr. Zhou Kunmin's ambition since childhood. In the early 1970s, the famous calligrapher Mr. Yu Gang "learned calligraphy and sword" for his indian side, which can be said to outline his pursuit.

He was trained in court at an early age and taught Dai Huoyan, Lin Qiyan and other gentlemen to practice Wuzu Quan, laying a solid foundation in martial arts; when he was in elementary school, he began to learn books and lay the foundation, and then Linchi did not quit, even if the government affairs were cumbersome, he was still obsessed with the book sea travel, based on the five points of the book "View, Lin, Yang, Enlightenment, and Creation". In the unique art form of calligraphy, he found the sustenance of "emotional and moving words, divine thoughts and feelings" to express the personality and spirit, and transformed the contradiction between "skill" and "temperament" into a pulse and a radiant spirit.

Watching Mr. Zhou Kunmin's calligraphy works, a great feeling is that his elegant connotation, rigid and soft book style, can clearly see the author's aesthetic induction of "temperament in the middle and form in the outside". Mr. Zhou integrates emotion into the line, the dot painting changes from static to dynamic, the pen is steady, and the things and I forget, which properly embodies the charm of the mutual integration of his personality and art. To achieve a kind of "Han is not vain, the next pen has a reason", not only rooted in tradition, adhering to the predecessors, but also determined to create a new, both hands and hands.

The famous scholar Lin Sanzhi said: There are blocks in the chest, and the words are naturally good. The chest is full of everything, and the breath of the book is naturally overflowing between the lines. It is especially expensive to study books, and to read more is to write from grace.

Mr. Zhou Kunmin has always believed that the study of books must be transferred to many teachers in order to broaden their horizons and enrich their learning, and it is really useless to blindly dwell on the so-called controversy over the study of steles. Therefore, from the pursuit of Zhao and Wang to the study of Mi Fu and Dongpo to the later love of He Shaoji Xingcao, he was all elevating the aesthetic taste of calligraphy with an eclectic attitude. Although he is inclined to traditional calligraphy, he is not exclusive of modern schools of calligraphy and still regards them with an inclusive eye. Because he knows that "pen and ink should be contemporary", the calligrapher must have a broad and simple realm in order to reach the commanding heights of calligraphy innovation.

The above is an article by Mr. Lin Yingming, a high-level journalist and outstanding journalist in the country, reading the "Collection of Calligraphy of Zhou Kunmin" and wishing Mr. Zhou Kunmin a complete success in holding a personal calligraphy exhibition in Weiyuan Building, Quanzhou for 10 days in December 2006.
