Stigler's technological philosophy inherits the tradition of social critical theory of Marxism, especially the Frankfurt School, and extensively absorbs many ideological resources such as the phenomenology of Husserl and Heidegger, the technical philosophy of Simondon and Gill, the deconstructionism of Derrida, the anthropology of Lerois-Goran and Merlin Donald, and the modern natural science, and constructs a unique radical critical discourse that confronts the social reality of contemporary digital capitalism, because of the push of the "technical" problem from the edge of philosophy to the core position. This attracted so much attention that Stigler established his position in the field of philosophy and re-established the position of technology in the field of philosophy, which also made him one of the most important representatives of the critical theory camp of contemporary Western society.

Stigler's representative works include "Technology and Time", "Symbolic Poverty", "Doubt and Untrustworthiness", "Constituting Europe" and "Critique of New Political Economy". Among them, the three-volume edition of "Technology and Time", which established its academic status, has been translated into Chinese published, and "Symbolic Poverty" will soon be Chinese edition. In addition, Stiegler's classes and lectures in China have been included and published – "Art in the Anthropocene: Lectures of the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts in Stigler" and "Nanjing Curriculum: From < German Ideology> to < Dialectics of Nature>: Reading Marx and Engels in the Anthropocene Era".
