In order to avoid the harm of diseases and insects in the forest trees in Jiaxian County, the county forestry bureau planned in advance, made careful arrangements, and comprehensively carried out the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests in the spring to promote the sustained and healthy development of ecological forests and economic forests. From April 27 to 30, more than 100 technicians were sent to various towns and villages to guide the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, and at the same time to control the forest trees in key areas such as the forest farm, along the Yellow Road and the Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area.
Jujube tree pest protection is an important measure related to the annual yield and quality of jujube. In order to reduce the cost of jujube farmers to manage jujube orchards and improve the effectiveness of management, the Forestry Bureau of JiaXian County adopts the method of combining points and surfaces, and adopts the method of joint prevention and joint management in key towns and villages, and mobilizes all existing equipment and all labor to collectively control insect pests. The technical personnel of each unit went deep into the county jujube base to carry out face-to-face exchanges with the jujube farmers, and gave professional explanations on the current jujube madness, bud-eating elephant beetle and other disease and pest control technologies such as jujube madness and bud-eating elephant beetle, as well as the use, dosage and precautions in the process of spraying pesticides, and at the same time distributed 39 tons of high-efficiency cypermethrin, more than 10,000 copies of data, and more than 40 mobile sprayers to farmers on the spot.
At the same time, when the county forestry station conducted a pest survey of the county's forest resources, it found that pine yellow leaf bee pests appeared on some oil pine plants along the yellow road, and the pine yellow leaf wasp is the main leaf-eating pest that harms pine trees, directly threatening the normal growth of pine trees. In this regard, the county forestry station urgently organized technical personnel and hired some migrant workers to start prevention and control along the Yellow Road and Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, scientifically allocated prevention and control drugs, and sprayed with chlorpyrifos and cypermethrin, two pesticides, the control effect is obvious, and the insect pests are effectively controlled.
