Speaking of those strange ornamental fish, transparent fish is definitely a kind, and the number is really quite a lot, in fact, as long as it is a fisherman who has bred ornamental fish, they have seen small fry, most of the small fry are transparent in the juvenile stage, but if the body is transparent in the adult stage, it is more interesting.
The most common is the peacock fish that hardly has any body color, and their bodies are also transparent, such as some lamp fish or small fish, such as head and tail lights, red nose scissors, neon swallows, blue light fish, silver axe fish, three-point lights, lemon lights, etc., the body has more or less transparent parts.
The most famous transparent fish are the following three, fortunately I have raised the following three:
First, glass lala fish
Native to Thailand, India, Myanmar and other places, the glass lala fish has a crystal clear, petite and cute body, with a body length of 3 to 4 cm, the fish body is glassy and transparent, and the bones and internal organs can be clearly visible.
Glass lala fish is very adaptable, easy to raise, mild personality can be polycultured with many small fish, the most suitable water temperature is around 25, and the comparison of hardiness, there is no excessive requirements for water quality.
Many of the dyed fish on the market, such as our common color skirt fish, are mostly glass lala fish, but because of artificial dyeing, their disease resistance will be reduced.
2. Red-tailed glass fish
In the past, we all called it red-tailed crystal, and the transparent ornamental fish we could see thirty years ago was only the red-tailed crystal fish, so the fish farmers were particularly impressed by them, and now they are called red-tailed glass fish.
The red-tailed glassfish originates from Brazil in South America, with a body length of up to 6 cm, except for a red tail, the whole body is glassy and transparent, no different from the glass lala, and this red tail adds a touch of brilliance to it.
Red-tailed glass fish belong to the lipid carp family, like weak acidic water quality, water temperature around 25 degrees can also live very well, like to swim in groups, can also be mixed with many small ornamental fish, belongs to omnivorous fish.
Third, glass catfish
Of all the transparent ornamental fish, the most famous and the most difficult to raise is the glass catfish.
Glass catfish native to Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, suitable for weak acidic soft water and 25 to 28 degrees of water temperature, body length of up to 15 cm or so, its biggest feature is transparent throughout, the bones, bones, internal organs of the whole body are clearly visible.
Glass cat fish mild personality, like to live in groups, afraid of loneliness, so it is best to raise the same population, and then a glass cat fish like old water feeding, which is very similar to traffic lights, once trapped in the water time is too short, glass cat fish will occur death phenomenon, including the usual water change we must pay attention to.
Although the glass cat fish is not large, but they like to eat live bait, it is not very easy for artificial feed openings, which is the main reason why they are difficult to raise, we can feed the shrimp or small fish worms, so that they can grow well.
The last point of glass catfish does not like strong water flow, they prefer to be quiet, affected by strong water flow, they will also appear without warning death phenomenon, so relatively speaking, glass cat fish compared to glass lala and red-tailed glass fish, feeding is still more difficult.
