Old mulberry boiled is easy to rot. All are the magic of physical subduing. ”
The historical story of the turtle shell
Oracle bone script is the abbreviation of tortoise shell and animal bone script, the full name is "tortoise shell animal bone script", also known as "tortoise shell text", "Bu Ci", "divination text", "Qi wen", "Yin Qi" and so on. It is a bronze age (about 1339-1281 BC) Yin Shang carved on the tortoiseshell, animal bones, human bones and other activities to record divination, sacrifice and other activities, is the earliest mature script found so far.
Tortoise shell is the thick shell of the turtle, the turtle relies on this layer of armor to avoid the natural enemies, a little movement, immediately the head, tail and limbs are retracted into the shell, people often like to take this to make jokes about timid people, saying that it is a "shrunken head turtle", more folk curses are often called "turtle", in short, in our lives, the turtle is the object of ridicule and contempt.
But you know what? This is just the fate of the turtle now, in ancient China, the turtle was once a synonym for auspiciousness, considered a kind of god that communicates heaven and earth, and its status is quite revered. The Book of Rites and Fortunes records: "What are the four spirits? Lin, phoenix, turtle, dragon, called the four spirits. "The turtle can actually be compared with the legendary animals such as unicorns, phoenixes and dragons, and its status is evident.
The Ming Dynasty Li Shizhen's "Compendium of Materia Medica" also has such a record: "The beetles are three hundred and sixty, and the divine turtle is long, and the upper and the text is the law of the heavens, and the lower flat is the law of the earth." "Up" refers to the back of the turtle, "bottom" refers to the belly of the turtle, meaning that there are three hundred and sixty species of beetles, with the sacred turtle as the length, the turtle back carapace is raised and has a pattern, symbolizing the celestial signs; the turtle belly is flat and textured to symbolize the landform.
It may seem ridiculous and inconceivable today, but there was a time in history when the turtle was particularly revered as a symbol of the image of heaven and earth. Moreover, the mysterious color of the turtle was greatly enhanced by the use of divination by the ancients.
Origin and efficacy of tortoiseshell
Source: This product is the dorsal carapace and abdominal carapace of turtles in the tortoise family. It can be captured throughout the year, mostly in autumn and winter, and killed after capture, stripped of the back armor and abdominal carapace, and removed from the residual flesh, called "platelets". Or burned with boiling water, peel off the back nails and abdominal nails, remove the residual flesh, and dry them in the sun, called "hot plates".
Origin: Hebei, Shaanxi, Henan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang, Anhui, Taiwan, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places are distributed.
Sexual taste: sweet, cold; return to the kidneys, liver, heart meridians.
Efficacy: Nourishing yin, latent yang, beneficial kidneys and healthy bones, nourishing blood and replenishing the heart, stopping bleeding.
Taking of tortoiseshell
The effect of turtle shell is to nourish yin and yang, benefit the kidneys and replenish the heart, nourish the blood and stop bleeding. Therefore, it can be used to:
1. Yin deficiency and hyper-yang, yin deficiency internal heat, and yin deficiency wind movement evidence caused by liver and kidney yin deficiency. It is long in nourishing kidney yin, nourishing liver yin, and can also submerge yang, often used with asparagus, white peony, oysters and so on.
2. Kidney deficiency and bone weakness. It is often used with cooked land, Zhimu, Yellow Cedar, Suoyang, etc.
3. The shock of yin and blood deficiency, insomnia, forgetfulness. It is often used with stone calamus, yuanzhi, keel, etc.
4. Yin deficiency and blood fever, collapse and leakage of impure, menorrhagia. It is especially suitable for yin deficiency and blood fever, rushing to the collapse of insufficiency, menorrhagia. It is often used with raw land, skullcap, and elm.
