Recently, with the joint efforts of the market supervision departments at the city and county levels, Fuzhou has made new progress in the work of geographical indications, and three new geographical indication certification trademarks have been added: Minqing ceramics (19 classes) and Minqing wool-foot chicken (29 classes and 31 classes). Up to now, Fuzhou has a total of 29 geographical indication trademarks and 11 geographical indication protection products.
Minqing hairy-foot chicken is a local chicken (native chicken) of Minqing, because of the developed skirt feathers, shin feathers, toe feathers, so the name of "hairy-foot chicken", commonly known as "trouser chicken", because of the beautiful feathers, colorful also known as "anchovy chicken", which is a meat and egg combined use type chicken breed, is the People of Minqing after long-term artificial breeding and natural domestication of the local high-quality chicken.
Minqing ceramics, also known as Minqing ceramic tiles, are the characteristic products of Minqing County. Minqing ceramics have low water absorption, good degree of vitrification, not easy to crack or peel off due to climate change thermal expansion and contraction, high flexural strength, good wear resistance, and the average service life of the product is long.
In recent years, the Fuzhou Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau has given full play to its functional role, deeply excavated the advantages of regional brand resources, regarded the cultivation of geographical indications as an important starting point for promoting rural revitalization, and focused on achieving the goal of "cultivating a landmark, promoting an industry, and benefiting the people".
The first is to make good use of the policy "baton." In accordance with the spirit of the Notice of the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government on Printing and Distributing Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development Strategy of Trademarks (Rong Zhengzong [2012] No. 220) and the Opinions of the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government on Further Implementing the Standardization Strategy (Min Zheng zong [2016] No. 128), a one-time grant of 100,000 yuan will be given to the units that organize the declaration of protection of geographical indication products and obtain approval, and a one-time reward of 100,000 yuan will be given to trademark registrants who successfully register geographical indication certification trademarks.
The second is to establish a landmark "incubation library". Deploy and carry out city-wide geographical indications research work, and the leaders in charge of the bureau will lead teams to visit many places, focusing on the use of geographical indications to help rural revitalization, boost regional economic development, and promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. In accordance with the model of "government support, departmental guidance, and association force", we have actively excavated and cultivated geographical indications, and 16 geographical indications such as "Fuzhou Elephant Garden Wood Carving" are currently being cultivated.
The third is to enhance social "participation". Actively carry out the promotion and demonstration of excellent geographical indication trademark registrants in 2019, in September this year, the registrants of geographical indication trademarks of "Lianjiang Abalone" and "Fuzhou Jasmine Tea" were selected as the 2019 excellent geographical indication trademark registrants in Fujian Province, with only 12 in the province.
The fourth is to create a landmark "new business card". Comprehensively organize and carry out the census of geographical indication protection resources in our city, and orderly promote the replacement and use of the new version of the special sign of geographical indication, at present, 33 enterprises in the city have completed the work of changing the label, and the special sign of geographical indication will become the "new business card" of geographical indication anti-counterfeiting in the future.
