䴙(pì)䴘(tī)(Podiceps ruficollis; Little gre-be) is a species of the genus Little gre-be in the family Lycaenidae.

Distribution in China: Resident birds and some migratory birds, distributed throughout China, including Taiwan and Hainan Island. There are 3 subspecies in China. The most common subspecies (Trachybap-tus, ruficolliS poggei) is found throughout China, from northeast to northeast, south to Taiwan and Hainan Island, and west to Gansu, Sichuan and western Yunnan. It is a daytime active bird. Except during breeding periods, it usually rests at night in the grass by hidden ponds or lakes. Nests in swamps, ponds, lakes overgrown with reeds, rushes, cattails and other places, mostly in the mountains on small water surfaces. If the place of residence freezes in winter, it will move to a warmer seaside or a larger non-icy lake. Food: Mainly small fish caught, occasionally small shrimp or small arthropods in the water.
