Morning Glory Aliases: Black Ugly, White Ugly, Two Ugly, Trumpet Flower, Ginger Seed, Morning Glory, Morning Glory Flower. It is a genus of morning glory in the family Spinosaur family, an annual vine-wound herb flower. The vine stems are slender, about 3 to 4 meters, and the whole plant is densely covered with short bristles. The leaves are alternate, fully margined or leaf-lobed. The inflorescences are axillary, with 1 to several flowers. Corolla flared. The flowers are bright and beautiful. The capsules are spherical, cracked on the back of the cell after maturity, and the seeds are large, black or yellowish-white, and have a long lifespan.
Sexual taste and return to the scriptures: morning glory bitter, cold. poisonous. Into the lungs, kidneys, large intestine meridians.
Function and indications: This product has the effect of laxative water and swelling, phlegm drinking, insecticidal attack and accumulation. Clinically used to:
1. For edema, ascites, unfavorable stool, athlete's foot and other symptoms. Morning glory is quite powerful, and it can also facilitate urination, which can make water wet from the second stool and reduce edema. For example, for the treatment of edema and wheezing, two stools and other symptoms, it can be used with mulberry white skin, mutong, white bark, tangerine peel, etc.; if used for ascite swelling, it can be used with water-chasing drugs such as gansui, coriander, euphorbia and so on.
2. For sputum stagnation, cough and wheezing. Morning glory can drink sputum one by one under the bitter diarrhea, phlegm drinking is smooth, the breath is flat, and it is often used with amaranth seeds, almonds and so on.
3. For abdominal pain in worms. Morning glory can not only drive away intestinal parasites, but also has a laxative effect, so that the insect body can be eliminated, often used with betel nut, rhubarb and the like, and has a repellent effect on roundworms and tapeworms.
4. Morning glory is a medicine under the steep, less use is through the stool, more use is diarrhea such as water, and can diuretic, so it is mainly used clinically for ascites swelling, unfavorable stool and food accumulation, constipation and other symptoms. As for the treatment of sputum stagnation, cough and asthma, it should only be used temporarily, not for a long time. If it is a weak spleen and stomach, qi deficiency and bloating, when the spleen is to supplement the middle, it is not appropriate to use this product to attack diarrhea and accumulate, and to fight stomach qi.
