Poets, as translators, are a more common phenomenon in modern poetry. How does being a translator influence the creation of poets? Ordinary readers may have many interpretations of this issue, and a considerable number of them have a negative attitude towards "translation style". Recently, Yazhong Culture published the poet Ling Yue's poetry collection "Floating Address: Selected Poems of Ling Yue", and his translation of "The Wilderness Roaring: Selected Poems of Emily Brontë" (co-translated with Liang Jiaying). As author and translator, Ling Yue presents both identities to the reader at the same time. On September 11, Ling Yue invited two poets, Lai'er and Zhao Jun, to join them in a dialogue between the 19th and 21st centuries, the collision of English and Chinese, and the dual display of the identities of poets and translators.
