Online live broadcasting is chaotic, and Li Jun, a deputy to the National People's Congress, suggested closing the platform tipping function

In recent years, new formats of online live broadcasting have emerged frequently, but at the same time, chaos such as data fraud and vulgar content has also been repeatedly prohibited. This issue has attracted the attention of Li Jun, a deputy to the National People's Congress and secretary of the party branch of Xiuyun Village in Baiyi Town, Cangxi County, Sichuan Province, who will submit suggestions at this year's two sessions calling for greater supervision and rectification of online live broadcasting.

In Li Jun's view, online live broadcasting breaks through the limitations of traditional media interaction lag, and viewers and anchors can interact instantly through bullet screens, likes, tips, etc., which is more attractive to young people and users are getting younger and younger. However, in recent years, while online live broadcasting has become popular with a large number of "Internet celebrities", it has also brought many social problems, such as live broadcasting without a bottom line, online begging, data fraud, and vulgar content, which is worrying.

Li Jun believes that this is due to the high arbitrariness of online live broadcasting, high revenue and low cost of breaking the law. The boundaries of webcasting are still relatively blurred, and it is difficult to implement regulation for immediacy live broadcasting. At the same time, there are also cases where bad currency drives out good money, "when illegal or even illegal online live broadcasts are not dealt with, compliant and legal live broadcasts are at a disadvantage in competition." Li Jun said.

In this regard, he suggested improving the laws and regulations on online live broadcasting and strengthening the supervision of various departments.

In his view, it was clear that the current censorship system did not meet practical needs and that official censorship standards should be introduced as soon as possible. Implement a blocking mechanism for online live broadcasts and anchors that review and report that are true, and impose economic penalties or even administrative penalties, increasing the cost of violations of laws and regulations.

At the same time, he also suggested standardizing the rules of the platform and turning off the platform tipping function. Li Jun said that the main source of income from online live broadcasting is the virtual gifts that the audience tip, which is not profitable and early, and after closing the tipping function of the platform, it can effectively eliminate the vulgarity, vulgarity and other eyeball-rubbing behaviors carried out by the anchor in order to obtain gray revenue, and can effectively purify the network live broadcast environment.

Nandu has previously sorted out and measured the gift tip limit of 100 live broadcast platforms, and found that the upper limit of the tip amount is generally set too high, and there are phenomena such as platform recharge entrances draining lending products, and 40% of the platform can tip up to 1 million yuan per time.

In addition, Li Jun also called for improving the whistleblowing system, he believes that the number of online live broadcasts is huge, and the reporting of the masses is one of the most feasible methods at present. He proposed to improve the reward system for whistleblowing, establish a suitable reward system for whistleblowing, and improve the enthusiasm for reporting.
