851.05 kg! Anhui wheat yield set a new record

On the morning of June 3, the Fuyang Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs invited relevant experts to form an expert group to conduct a real inspection and acceptance of a high-yield demonstration field in Fanying Village, Zhongbei Community, Zhongshi Subdistrict, Yingquan District, Fuyang City, and the results showed that the average yield per mu reached 851.05 kg, refreshing the wheat yield record in our province.

The reporter saw at the scene that an expert group composed of experts from Anhui Agricultural University, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, Shandong Agricultural University, Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and other units randomly selected 2.78 mu of wheat for on-site harvesting in the high-yield demonstration field, and directly weighed grain bagging and weighing according to the "National Measures for The Creation of High Grain Yield and Acceptance Measures (Trial)" of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The results show that the average yield per mu reached 851.05 kg, 31.2 kg higher than last year, refreshing the record of the average yield of wheat per mu in our province. Last year, also in the high-yield demonstration field, the expert group harvested and measured on the spot, and the average yield of 3.61 mu of wheat reached 819.85 kg per mu, which refreshed the previous wheat yield record in our province.

According to the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as of 16:00 on June 3, our province has harvested 17.625 million mu of wheat, with a progress of 41.3%, harvested 2.495 million mu on the same day, and put 50,000 combine harvesters. Among them, the main wheat producing city of Huainan is more than 70%, Chuzhou is more than 60%, and Fuyang is more than half. (Reporter Shi Li Correspondent Guo Haiyang)
