Victoria Passing Halfway: Today, I want to talk to you about feelings

General Practitioner of the Outpatient Department Li Qiuze

I want to talk about a word that touches me the most – "companionship". In this half a year, our 63 brothers and sisters accompanied each other, worked hard, and formed a deep "peacekeeping feeling" and "war friendship"; in this half a year, we exerted our professional expertise, accompanied our patients with true feelings, and showed the image of our doctors' benevolence and boundless love; in this half a year, although we and our distant relatives could not accompany each other day and night, through the telephone and through the Internet, we have always been connected in heart and dreaming of each other. In the peacekeeping years in the next six months, I think everyone will cherish and accompany each other more attentively and take the road of peacekeeping well.

Halfway through the peacekeeping process, I would like to share with you four heartfelt words: the first sentence, as long as we are sincerely united together, there is no difficulty that cannot be overcome; the second sentence, as long as each of our comrades do their own work well, we will certainly be able to successfully complete the peacekeeping medical task; the third sentence, as long as we all insist on studying, this year is no less significant to you and me than to go to college once; and the fourth sentence, as long as each of our comrades abide by the rules and disciplines, we can ensure peace and security.

A few days ago, I flew a United Nations plane to the Tertiary Hospital in Uganda, which made me truly appreciate the meaning of the phrase "it is difficult to go out, and it is even more difficult to go out abroad". After all, this is a foreign country, going out, encountering many unexpected difficulties, the United Nations aircraft was grounded due to sandstorms, and I was stranded for 3 days. Back at the medical team, when I met everyone, I just wanted to say "it's good to be home". In half a year, we have formed a big family, with the warmest home and the most beautiful home, I hope that everyone will cherish the rest of the days together and live every day with heart.

As a 15-year veteran and a second-time peacekeeper, I cherish this opportunity. There is a sentence on the welcome wall of the medical team, "A peacekeeping road, a lifetime of comradeship", which represents my heart. Yes, this year, we are in a foreign peacekeeping, and the friendship of 63 brothers and sisters will last forever. Here, I also take a stand, and in the next six months, I will be honest and down-to-earth, leading the brothers of the car class to complete each task conscientiously.

Time flies so fast, trance, has spent more than 6 months here, fresh, curious, enthusiastic has gradually receded, everything is flat. Yes, it's bland, bland mood, bland life, bland work that repeats every day. Sometimes I can't help but ask myself, how will I spend the remaining 6 months? And what to do? In any case, there must be something to be gained, otherwise wouldn't I have lived up to the good times when I was not able to accompany my children to thrive, and wouldn't I have wasted the hardships my family paid for supporting me to go abroad for peacekeeping?

Guard squad leader and lieutenant Liu Cong

As the youngest "post-90s" in the medical team, peacekeeping has taught me a lot of things and gained a lot of insights in the past six months. Peacekeeping more than half of the words, "see the wise and the wise" can best express my heart at this moment. The motivation, attitude, unity and dedication shown by other colleagues in the medical team in their work and life are very worth learning from me. I believe that this peacekeeping experience will be deeply imprinted on my life path and will also play a very beneficial role in my military career.
