In October 1950, the campaign to liberate Qamdo was fought on the Jinsha River, and the first five-star red flag in Tibet was planted on the land of Gangtuo Village, which opened an important page in the liberation of Qamdo and the march into Tibet. Now, 69 years later, Gangtuo Village, the first village in Tibet's liberation, has become a national ecological and cultural village, and is actively building a 4A-level folk leisure resort, and gangtuo people inherit the spirit of old Tibet and work the road of rural revitalization.
Starting from Changdu, Tibet, along the Zaqu River all the way to the east, over the Zonglayi Mountains and Xuejila Mountains, through the Dwarf Lashan Tunnel, after about 6 hours of driving, you can reach Gangtuo Village, Gangtuo Town, Jiangda County, located on the jinsha River.
A few days ago, the reporter came to Gangtuo Village and deeply felt the unique charm, vitality of struggle and development potential of Gangtuo Village and Gangtuo people.
Unique charm
Walking into Gangtuo Village, the traditional Tibetan houses with unique Khampa characteristics are novel and unique, which makes people shine. Each household is a small two-story building, the first floor is built with stone or adobe and retains the true color of the earth and stone, and the second floor is a wooden red hut. The well-preserved traditional Tibetan houses have become a beautiful scenery in the village.
Zewang Phuntsok, 81, told reporters that this kind of building is called "Bunwang" in Tibetan (architecturally called "Bunkong", which is a wooden structure with very ethnic and regional characteristics in Tibetan architecture). Since he can remember, every house has adopted this method and pattern.
Along the village road, in the courtyard behind the front and back of each house, apple trees, peach trees and other fruit trees are hung with a red glow of green that is about to ripen. The golden canola flowers, red and white potato flowers, and the yellow flowers and pieces of barley that are about to ripen in the yellow of the green herbs called Tumuxiang surround the houses and form a unique Tibetan village.
"Many tourists who pass through National Highway 317 will go to the village to have a look when they see the style of our village across the river." Zewang Phuntsok said.
What makes Zewang Phuntsok proud is that his family occupies a "special" position in the village: standing on the second-floor terrace of his house, you can see the powerful word "Tibet" carved into a boulder not far away.
In October 1950, the Battle of Qamdo was fought on the Jinsha River, and after the successful crossing of the river, the soldiers carved the word "Tibet" on the boulders along the river, and planted the first five-star red flag in Gangtuo Village. As a result, Gangtuo Village became the first village in Tibet to be liberated.
The house of the Zewang Phuntsok family, which has been built for more than 30 years, has become one of the few three-story buildings in the village under the expansion and repair of him and his family. The first floor is a warehouse and a place for livestock, the second floor is for the family to live in, and the third floor is where the Zewang Phuntsok family stores "treasures".
During the conversation, Zewang Phuntsok had already taken off the "treasure" hanging on the third floor. His so-called "baby" turned out to be 3 rusty military water bottles and a lunch box.
"After the People's Liberation Army crossed the river, it was strictly disciplined, not only did not disturb our lives, but also often received villagers and brought us food and clothing. These are the things that were left behind. Zewang Phuntsok said.
When the People's Liberation Army crossed the river, Zewang Pingcuo was 12 years old, and he still remembers the good of the People's Liberation Army.
Recalling the events of that year, he spoke of a "Yamugo" (meaning "good" in the Tibetan dialect of Chamdo). Since there was no road at the time, Zewang Phuntsok's family and villagers were actively involved in helping the PLA transport supplies.
In 1962, the 24-year-old Zewang Phuntsok and more than 60 villagers in the village participated in the transportation and logistics of the Sino-Indian self-defense counterattack. During the 6-month long relationship, the old Tibetan spirit of the warriors who were "particularly able to endure hardships, especially able to fight, especially able to endure, especially able to unite, and especially able to dedicate" left a deep impression on Zewang Phuntsok and his companions, and still affect Zewang Phuntsok and the villagers to this day.
"Our Gangtuo Village is the first village in Tibet to be liberated, and the villagers are proud of it, so they must do a good job in all work." Yong Hong, first secretary of the party branch of Gangtuo Village, said. As he said, in the course of 69 years of development, Gangtuo people have not forgotten their original intentions, adhered to the "old Tibetan spirit" and constantly forged ahead, dared to fight and dared to break through, and were constantly energetic.
The vitality of struggle
In 1956, a suspension bridge was built over the Jinsha River, and the Gangto people bid farewell to the cowhide raft. In December 1974, the old bridge of the 317 National Highway Jinsha River Bridge was completed and opened to traffic, and in August 2008, the new bridge of the Gangto Jinsha River Bridge was completed and opened to traffic. For more than half a century, adhering to the spirit of forging ahead and working hard, gangtuo people have traveled back and forth between Sichuan and Tibet, and have forged a road to prosperity, and the village has been full of vitality and vitality of struggle.
Standing on the platform on his second floor, Nyima Tsering, 69, is dispatching workers to expand the house. Seven or eight years ago, he opened the first family hotel in Gangtuo Village, received 30,000 yuan of family hotel support funds from the government, and was awarded the honorary title of "Rural Tourism Demonstration Household" by the former Qamdo Regional Tourism Bureau.
"At present, my family hotel has 10 beds, and with the addition of two houses, another 10 beds can be added." Nyima Tsering introduced while staring at the roof construction.
About 100 meters opposite Nyima Tsering's house, it is the home of his eldest son, Zeden Tashi. Zeden Tashi has been doing business outside for many years, and the house is empty and no one lives. Last year, Nyima Tsering invested more than 100,000 yuan to renovate the empty house of his eldest son into a family hotel with more than 10 beds.
"Idle, only by constantly struggling to live will life get better and better." Nyima Tsering said, "To live a good life, in addition to relying on the party's good policies, we must also rely on our own continuous efforts." ”
Baju, 43, was the first person in Gangto village to run a transport.
When Ba jiu was seventeen or eighteen years old, he spent 30,000 or 40,000 yuan on a bank loan to buy his first car, a second-hand Dongfeng car. In just two years, Ba jiu changed to a brand new Dongfeng car.
"I spent more than 70,000 yuan on the new car. In order to earn money, at that time we got up early and greedily, busy day and night. Bajo said. Now, more than 20 years later, Bajiu has changed more than 10 transport vehicles through his own efforts. The year before, Bajiu spent more than 500,000 yuan to buy a new Dongfeng Tianlong car, and paid a monthly salary of more than 8,000 yuan to invite Qingni Dorjee from the same village to help drive. Ba Jiu himself was not idle, last year, he looked at the road to Wang Buding Township that was being built in front of the village, and decisively spent 620,000 yuan to buy a trailer to transport cement for the project.
"Last year, I made more than 100,000 yuan by driving a trailer to build a road." Bajo said with a smile.
Like Bajiu, seizing the great opportunity of the party and the state to vigorously build Tibet, many people in Gangtuo Village have embarked on the road to prosperity through running transportation. In the open space of Gangtuo Village, there are many Dongfeng trucks parked. According to incomplete statistics from the village committee and the village-based task force, there are more than 20 newly purchased Dongfeng Tianlong vehicles in the village in the past one or two years alone.
Not only are the elderly and middle-aged people in the village still running on the road of chasing dreams, but the new generation of Gangtuo Village is going all out on the road of chasing the "entrepreneurial dream".
Zewang Dorjee, 28, has been selling yak yogurt and ghee for three years, and now he has opened a store in Qamdo And jiangda county, and his business is booming. At The Zewang Dorjee family, his father ran transportation in his early years, and his uncle did the construction business. Influenced by his family, Zewang Dorji also had a dream of entrepreneurship when he became an adult. But the business of selling yak yogurt and ghee was not favored by the family.
"From my fathers, I learned that if you have a dream, you must insist on it, and you must have your own opinion. So I did this despite my family's objections. Zewang Dorji said that at the beginning of the business, there were 3 partners from different places, and now he is only one, and now he has created the brand of "Snow Mother". "Snow-like mother" means cow in Chinese, and he hopes that his brand will be as gentle as a cow and competitive in the market.
"The next step is to scale up and sell my products to Lhasa and beyond." Talking about his plan, Zewang Dorji was full of confidence.
Walking on the village road of Gangto Village, you can hardly see idle people.
"Everyone is busy making money outside." Guo Pengfei, a staff member of the Changdu Tourism Development Commission stationed in Gangtuo Village, said.
Although 69 years have passed, the "old Tibetan spirit" in the bones of the Gangtuo people has always influenced the villagers to start a business.
"The good life is all about struggle. Just as the People's Liberation Army won the victory in marching into Tibet after arduous and extremely arduous battles, we Gangtuo people have not been afraid of hardships and hardships for so many years, and have firmly grasped the party's good policies to have a good life today. Yonghong said that struggle is the unchangeable background of Gangtuo people, and for a better future, Gangtuo people are still moving forward.
Potential for development
Gangtuo Village, located on the jinsha river, is the first stop into Tibet via National Highway 317, and its location advantage is very obvious. The archway of the "First Village of Liberation" stands on the road into the village.
Looking at the location advantages of Gangtuo, Chengdu Western Ranger Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., which is deeply involved in the cultural tourism industry, has initially reached a cooperation intention with Jiangda County to develop homestays in Gangtuo Village.
"Gangto Village is the first stop in Tibet, and if guests have a deep understanding of Tibetan folklore here, it will be helpful to the travel experience of the whole Tibet." Zhang Lei, founder of Chengdu Western Ranger Culture Communication Co., Ltd., said that he looked at Gangtuo Village not only because of the resources and location advantages of Gangtuo Village, but also because in recent years, Changdu City and Jiangda County have supported Gangtuo Village to build a folk leisure resort.
"The tourism market in western Sichuan is very large, and the tourism market in western Sichuan is also very mature. Relying on the tourism market in western Sichuan, the tourism of Gangtuo Village will have great prospects for development. Zhang Lei introduced that at present, the Chengdu Western Ranger Outdoor Club sends a group to western Sichuan every year, of which there are about 5,000 guests in Derge County, which is across the river from Gangtuo Village. "In particular, the series of folk customs of Gangtuo Village and the Eighteenth Army Ferry port of Jinsha River have high historical value and have great potential for development, and the landscape combination represented by the 'Tibet' boulders, artillery towers, and Jinsha River shore beaches in the scenic spot is reflected." This combination of resources is also unique and exclusive in Jiangda County and even in the Qamdo area. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Gangtuo Village has implemented 14 projects with an investment of more than 60 million yuan. Among them, projects around tourism development and industrial development account for nearly 50% of the total investment of the project.
In the past four years, Jiangda County has held 4 sessions of "Re-walking the Road of Jinzhu Mami (PEOPLE's Liberation Army)" hiking activities in Gangtuo Village, and the "Peak Dream Car Go Rally" will also use Gangtuo as an experience point on the road for two consecutive years as an experience activity, coupled with the outside world's attention to Gangto Village, which has brought great opportunities for the development of Gangtuo tourism.
In order to speed up the tourism development of Gangtuo Village, in recent years, Changdu Has specially selected the staff of the Changdu Tourism Development Committee for Gangtuo Village to stay in the village. Since stationed in the village, a group of members of the Changdu Tourism Development Committee have provided suggestions for the tourism development of Gangtuo Village. Now, the Jinsha River side into the location of Gangtuo Village, the Eighteenth Army Ferry Red Ruins Park has been operated. In July this year, Gangtuo Village invested 10 million yuan to start construction of scenic spot renovation projects including landscape improvement around the scenic spot, road reconstruction and expansion, tourist trails, wooden fences and garbage bins.
"At present, we are negotiating with enterprises to implement high-end homestay projects in the village." Ge Song Tsering, head of the Changdu Tourism Development Committee's task force in Gangtuo Village, said.
Since zewang Phuntsok's house has a good view and his own willingness to engage in tourism, Gesong Tsering and his team members help him contact the company.
"We are going to build a demonstration house first, and the villagers will be more motivated when they see it." Gesong Tsering said.
"Sister, did you come to our village because of the tourism project?" Walking into the home of the village college student Silang Dolma, Silang Dolma mistakenly thought that the reporter had also come to negotiate tourism projects. Now, the whole village is paying attention to the development of tourism in the village.
In the future, relying on the advantages of location and resources, and seizing the opportunity of Gangtuo to build a characteristic small town, Gangtuo Village will make every effort to build a 4A-level folk leisure tourism resort, which will become a new engine for the future development of Gangtuo Village, so that Gangto Village will attract more surrounding villagers and tourists.
Yixi Tsering, a villager in Xielong Village, officially moved to Gangto Village three years ago and opened a motorcycle repair shop. Now there are more than 30 residents who have moved from around Gangto Village like his family.
Not only that, but also people from the mainland have come to Gangto Village to run businesses.
Zhou Zhifei, from Luoyang, Henan Province, opened a vegetable and fruit department store in Gangtuo Village in March this year, the first shop in Gangtuo village to be run by mainlanders.
"I went all the way from Lhasa to Nagqu and finally chose Gangtuo Village. The traffic here is good, and there is more potential for development in the future. Zhou Zhifei said that his small shop now earns 20,000 to 30,000 yuan per month, and he believes that the business will get better and better, which he has great expectations.
The Jinsha River does not hesitate to rush forward day and night, and Gangtuo Village does not give up to develop day and night. The word "Tibet" on the Jinsha River and the boulders along the river bear witness to the legend of gangtuo village and gangtuo people's struggle.
